The Path of Integrity
The faithful are called to live with integrity, guided by God's law and the promise of his preservation.
Do what is right and leave all evil alone; don't let it frighten you. Don't worry about what may come upon you here or happen to you. Stay and live here with integrity, and consider what you've been called to do and what your station requires of you. For the Lord loves justice and what is right; he never forsakes his faithful people, but always keeps them safe in every circumstance. The wicked must perish completely, while the righteous will rightfully inherit the land and live there forever. The righteous speak with wisdom and gladly dwell on it; their tongues speak what is right, and they help defend it. God’s law is in their hearts, guiding their every step so that they don’t wander into wrongdoing.✦
The Fate of the Wicked and the Hope of the Righteous
Though the wicked plot against the righteous, their power is fleeting and destined for ruin.
The wicked watch the righteous and plot all kinds of harm against them, but the Lord shows them grace and protects them from their hands. Even if they're unjustly condemned, God hasn't forgotten their cause; he holds them innocent.✦✦ Wait for the Lord and stay on his path; he’ll surely help you inherit the land when he brings the wicked down. You’ll see it with your own eyes and may well laugh at the ruin they never imagined. I saw a godless man, formidable to behold; he was powerful and firmly rooted, flourishing like a laurel tree. I looked again, and he was gone. Anyone who tries to find him searches in vain; he has vanished from his path.
God as the Refuge of the Faithful
God provides peace and salvation to those who trust in him, delivering them from the destruction that awaits the wicked.
Hold fast to godliness and everything that goes with it; in the end, when you take this to heart, you'll find that it brings you home in peace. But the wicked will all be destroyed together and cut off far from there in misery. God is the salvation of the faithful and their strength in times of need. He’ll help them and give them courage through every hardship and sorrow. He’ll surely deliver and save them from the evil one’s wicked schemes, because they trust in him.

Never lose the rhythm again
Chosen Portion delivers your morning, midday and night office to your phone — the Hours, without the bells.
Chosen Portion is a modern Book of Hours: it turns the fixed-hour structure this collection preserves into scheduled, tappable daily prayer on your phone.
- Three daily prayer moments scheduled around your real calendar, not a monastery's
- Psalms and historic prayers sequenced for you — no page-flipping or decision fatigue
- A visible streak of completed offices, so the rhythm compounds instead of collapsing
