The Fire of Mary's Love
By reflecting on the infinite love of Christ that Mary carried within her, we are encouraged to approach her with confidence to receive grace.
If you want to turn to the Virgin Mary with faith and confidence in every one of your needs, you can obtain both by considering the following. First. It is already known from experience that all those vessels that once contained moss or some precious liquid retain a little of their scent, even though they are no longer there; and this happens even more the longer the time that has passed. If they had been, and even more so if any of it had remained in some way, yet moss has limited and finite qualities, and so does every precious liquid. For the same reason, anyone who stays close to a great fire keeps its warmth for a long time, even after moving away from it. Since this is true, what kind of fire of love, what feelings of mercy and compassion can we say burn and fill the innermost being of the Virgin Mary? Indeed, she carried in her virginal womb for nine months and always holds in her heart, full of love, the Son of God, who is love itself, mercy, and compassion—not of limited and finite virtue, but of infinite virtue without any end. Just as someone approaching a great fire can't help but feel its warmth, anyone in need will receive even more help, favors, and grace if they approach the fire of love, mercy, and compassion that always burns in the heart of the Virgin Mary with humility and faith; and they will receive even more, the more often and with greater faith and confidence they draw near.
A Mother Given by the Son
Because Mary is perfectly conformed to the will of her Son, she serves as a reliable and loving advocate for all who seek her help.
Second. No creature has ever loved Jesus Christ as much as His most holy mother, nor has anyone ever been so conformed to His will. So, if the Son of God Himself, who spent His entire life and all of Himself for the needs of us sinners, has given us His mother as our mother and advocate to help us and to be a means of salvation for us after Him, how could this mother and advocate ever fail us or become rebellious against the will of the Son? Daughter, turn to the most holy Mother Mary with confidence in every need, for this confidence is rich and blessed, and she is a sure refuge for those who still receive grace and mercy from her.

Volendo tu ricorrere a Maria Vergine con fede e con confidenza in ogni tuo bisogno, potrai conseguirle tutte e due in forza delle seguenti considerazioni.
Primo. Già si sa per esperienza che tutti quei vasi dove è stato del muschio o qualche liquore prezioso ritengono un poco del loro odore, benché essi non vi siano più; e questo tanto più avviene quanto più spazio di tempo vi
fossero stati , e molto più se ancora in qualche modo ve ne fossero rimasti: eppure il muschio è di virtù limitata e finita, e così ogni liquore prezioso. Per lo stesso motivo chi sta vicino a un gran fuoco ne ritiene per molto tempo il calore, benché s'allontani da esso.
Essendo questo vero, di che fuoco di carità, di quali sentimenti di misericordia e di pietà diremo noi che sia bruciato, e sia pieno, l'intimo di Maria Vergine? Ella infatti ha portato per nove mesi nel suo grembo verginale e sempre porta nel cuore pieno d'amore il Figliuolo di Dio che è la stessa carità, misericordia e pietà, non già di virtù finita e limitata, ma infinita e senza termine alcuno.
Pertanto, come chi si accosta a un gran fuoco non può non ricevere del suo calore, così e molto più ogni bisognoso riceverà aiuti, favori e grazie, se con umiltà e con fede si accosterà al fuoco di carità, di misericordia e di pietà che sempre arde nel cuore di Maria Vergine; e tanto più ne riceverà, quanto più spesso e con maggior fede e confidenza vi si accosterà.
Secondo. Nessuna creatura ha mai amato tanto Gesù Cristo né fu tanto conformata alla sua volontà, quanto la sua madre santissima. Se dunque lo stesso Figliuolo di Dio, che ha speso tutta la sua vita e tutto se stesso per i bisogni di noi peccatori, ci ha dato la madre sua come nostra madre e avvocata perché ci aiuti e sia dopo di lui mezzo di salvezza per noi, in qual modo potrà mai questa madre e avvocata nostra mancarci e diventare ribelle alla volontà del Figlio?
Figliuola, ricorri pure con confidenza in ogni tuo bisogno alla santissima madre Maria Vergine, perché ricca e beata è questa confidenza e sicuro è il rifugio in colei che tuttora concede grazie e misericordie.
