A Method of Marian Intercession
The author introduces a specific meditative practice involving the intercession of the Virgin Mary.
Beyond those already mentioned, there is another way to meditate and pray through the intercession of the Virgin Mary: direct your mind first to the eternal God, then to sweet Jesus, and finally to the glorious mother herself.
Meditation on God's Eternal Delights
The practitioner is encouraged to contemplate God's eternal joy in Mary and her earthly virtues to secure divine grace.
Turn to God and consider two things. The first is the delight He took in Himself, as seen in Mary, before she was drawn from nothingness. The second is her virtues and actions after she came into the world. Meditate on these delights. Lift your thoughts high above all time and every creature; then, entering into that same eternity and into the mind of God, consider the delight He took in the Virgin Mary. After finding the same God among these delights, ask confidently for grace and strength for the destruction of your enemies, especially for the one who is fighting against you. Then, reflecting on the many and unique virtues and actions of the most holy Mother, present them to God, either all together or some of them, and by virtue of those, ask for His infinite goodness according to your every need.
Pleading the Son through the Mother
The practitioner reflects on the intimate bond between Jesus and Mary to make a compelling plea to the Son.
Then, turning your mind to the Son, remember the virgin womb that carried Him for nine months; the reverence with which the Virgin adored Him after His birth, recognizing Him as true man and true God, her Son and Creator; the compassionate eyes that saw Him in such poverty and the arms that embraced Him; the tender kisses she gave Him; the milk with which she nourished Him, and the labors and sorrows she endured for Him in life and in death. By virtue of all these things, you'll make a sweet plea to the divine Son, so that He may grant your requests.
Appealing to the Mother of Mercy
The final stage involves turning directly to Mary, our advocate, to seek her powerful intercession for our salvation.
Finally, turn to the most holy Virgin and remind her that, by eternal providence and goodness, she was chosen to be the mother of grace and mercy and our advocate. Therefore, after her blessed Son, we have no safer or more powerful refuge than her. Moreover, remind her of the truth that is written about her and to which we have come through many miraculous interventions: that no one has ever invoked her with faith and she has not answered them with compassion. Finally, present to her the sufferings that her only Son endured for our salvation, asking her to obtain grace for you from him so that, for his glory and satisfaction, they may have in you the effect for which he bore them.

Oltre a quelli suddetti, vi è un altro modo di meditare e di pregare per intercessione di Maria Vergine rivolgendo la mente prima all'eterno Dio, poi al dolce Gesù e infine alla stessa gloriosissima madre.
Rivolta a Dio, considera due cose. L'una sono i diletti che egli “ab aeterno”, considerato in Maria, prendeva di se stesso prima che ella fosse tratta dal nulla. L'altra sono le virtù e le azioni di lei dopo essere venuta al mondo.
I diletti così li mediterai. Sollevati in alto col pensiero sopra ogni tempo e sopra ogni creatura; entrata poi nella stessa eternità e nella mente di Dio, considera le delizie che di se stesso prendeva in Maria Vergine. Dopo aver trovato il medesimo Dio tra questi diletti, in forza di essi chiedi con sicurezza grazia e forza per la distruzione dei tuoi nemici e particolarmente di quello che allora ti combatte. Passando poi alla considerazione delle tante e così singolari virtù e azioni della madre santissima e presentandole a Dio ora tutte insieme, ora alcune di esse, in virtù di quelle chiedi alla sua infinita bontà secondo ogni tuo bisogno.
Rivolgendo poi la mente al Figliuolo, gli ricorderai il seno verginale che per nove mesi lo portò; la riverenza con la quale dopo la nascita la Vergine lo adorò e lo riconobbe per vero uomo e vero Dio, Figliuolo e Creatore suo; gli occhi pietosi che lo videro tanto povero e le braccia che lo raccolsero; i cari baci con cui ella lo baciò; il latte con cui lo nutrì, le fatiche e le angosce per lui sostenute in vita e in morte. In virtù di tutte queste cose farai dolce violenza al divin Figliuolo, perché ti esaudisca.
Infine rivolta alla santissima Vergine, ricordale che dall'eterna provvidenza e bontà è stata eletta madre di grazia e di pietà e avvocata nostra. Perciò dopo il suo benedetto Figliuolo non abbiamo più sicuro e potente rifugio che in lei. Inoltre ricordale quella verità che di lei si scrive e alla quale si è pervenuti per tanti e tanti interventi miracolosi: cioè che mai nessuno l'abbia invocata con fede ed ella non gli abbia pietosamente risposto. Finalmente le presenterai i travagli che il suo unico Figliuolo tollerò per la nostra salvezza, pregandola di impetrarti grazia da lui perché a sua gloria e soddisfazione essi abbiano in te quell'effetto per il quale egli li sostenne.
