Sponsa dubitante, quid significaret ille motus sensibilis admirabilis, quem senciebat in corde, quando aliqua ex infusione diuina erant sibi reuelanda, mater Dei declarat ei veritatem misterii, annuncians ei, quod Deus et ipsa volunt per eam mundo indicare voluntatem suam.
The Tangible Movement of Grace
The bride experiences a mysterious physical movement in her heart and seeks discernment from her spiritual companions.
On the night of the Lord's birth, such a wonderful and great joy came to the bride of Christ that she could hardly contain herself for happiness; and in that same moment, she felt a remarkable, tangible movement in her heart, as if a living child were inside, turning and twisting about. As this movement continued, she showed it to her spiritual father and some of her spiritual friends, in case it might be an illusion. They tested the truth of it by sight and touch and were filled with wonder.
The Mother's Clarification
The Mother of God appears to the bride, explaining that the movement is a sign of her Son's presence and a reflection of the joy of the Incarnation.
Then, again on that same day during High Mass, the Mother of God appeared and said to the bride, "Daughter, you are wondering about the movement you feel in your heart." Know that it isn't an illusion, but a certain showing of the likeness of my sweetness and of the mercy shown to me." Just as you don't know how this sudden joy and movement of heart comes to you, so the coming of my Son into me was wonderful and swift. When I gave my consent to the angel who announced the conception of the Son of God to me, I immediately felt something wonderful and vivid within me. And when He was born of me, He came forth from my closed virginal womb with unspeakable exultation and wondrous haste. Therefore, daughter, don't fear that this is an illusion; instead, rejoice, because this movement you feel is a sign of my Son's arrival in your heart. Just as my Son gave you the name of his new bride, so I now call you the daughter-in-law of my Son.
A Vessel for the Divine Will
The Mother of God commissions the bride to act as a messenger of the divine will to a world grown cold in love.
Just as a father and mother, as they grow older and retire, place the burden of the household on their daughter-in-law and tell her what needs to be done, so too do God and I—grown old and cold in the hearts of men because of their lack of love—wish to make our will known to our friends and to the world through you. This movement in your heart will stay with you, and it will grow according to your heart's capacity.

Nam quando ego consensi angelo nuncianti michi concepcionem filii Dei, statim sensi in me mirabile quoddam et viuidum.
