The Mercy of Contrition
Christ reveals that a man punished for falsely celebrating Mass is saved through the grace of his suffering and contrition.
A man who wasn't ordained to the priesthood was celebrating Mass. He was brought before a judge and sentenced to the fire. Christ spoke to the bride who was praying for him, saying: "Look at my mercy!" If this man had been let go without punishment, he never would have reached glory. But now he has attained contrition, and so, because of the punishment he is enduring and his contrition, he is drawing near to grace and rest.
The Efficacy of Faith
Christ explains that the faithful who received sacraments from an unordained man were not harmed, as their sincere faith secured the grace of the sacraments.
Now you might ask whether the people who heard Mass and received the Sacraments from someone not ordained were damned, or if they sinned mortally. I tell you, he is by no means damned; rather, the faith of those who heard him saved them, because they believed he had been ordained by a bishop and that I was present in his hands upon the altar. In the same way, the faith of parents benefited those baptized by him, because faith born from the charity of works—which believes what is worthy of God—won't be without its reward, nor will it be cheated of its desire.

Quidam non ordinatus ad sacerdocium celebrabat missas. Qui presentatus iudici adiudicatus est igni. Pro quo oranti sponse Christus loquebatur dicens:
"Vide misericordiam meam!
