A Plea for Divine Mercy
The petitioner invokes the Holy Spirit, seeking forgiveness for general sins and the weaknesses of youth.
Lord, Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of truth, have compassion and mercy on me, your sinful servant. Pardon me in my unworthiness, and forgive everything I have done against you today through human weakness—and even in ways unworthy of a human being, worse than an animal—my sins both voluntary and involuntary, known and unknown, those arising from the habits and harmful lessons of my youth, and those arising from recklessness and despondency.

A detailed catalog of daily transgressions, ranging from speech and thought to neglect of others.
If I swore by your name or blasphemed it in my thoughts; if I insulted anyone, slandered someone in anger, caused someone sorrow, or grew angry over anything; if I lied, slept when I shouldn't have, or despised a poor person who came to me; if I grieved my brother, started a quarrel, or condemned anyone; if I became conceited, grew proud, or lost my temper; if, while I stood in prayer, my mind turned toward the evils of this world, or I entertained corrupt thoughts; if I overate, drank too much, or laughed mindlessly; if I thought something evil, or saw another person’s beauty and let it wound my heart with desire; if I said things I shouldn't have, or laughed at my brother’s sin, though my own sins are countless; if I neglected prayer, or did some other evil that I cannot remember—for I have done all these things and more—forgive me.1
Rest in the Creator
The prayer concludes with a request for peaceful rest and a commitment to continue glorifying God.
Have mercy on me, my Creator and Master, your despondent and unworthy servant. Overlook my sins, pardon me, and forgive me, for you are good and love humanity, so that I—a wayward, sinful, and wretched person—may lie down in peace, sleep, and rest, and may worship you, sing to you, and glorify your most honored name, with the Father and his only-begotten Son, now and always and forever.2 Amen.

Го́споди, Царю́ Небе́сный, Уте́шителю, Ду́ше и́стины, умилосе́рдися и поми́луй мя, гре́шнаго раба́ Твоего́, и отпусти́ ми недосто́йному, и прости́ вся, ели́ка Ти согреши́х днесь я́ко челове́к, па́че же и не я́ко челове́к, но и горе́е скота́, во́льныя моя́ грехи́ и нево́льныя, ве́домыя и неве́домыя: я́же от ю́ности и нау́ки злы, и я́же суть от на́гльства и уны́ния.
