Christian Courage Defined
Christian courage is defined as an unwavering firmness of spirit that a Christian maintains when facing temptations and enemies, as illustrated by scriptural references.
Answer. Courage, when viewed as a Christian virtue, is an unwavering firmness of spirit that a Christian maintains when attacked by all possible temptations, endured for Christ from a visible or invisible enemy. Paul describes this firmness thus: “Who shall separate us from the love of God? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?” And further: "I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." 8:35. 38–39). We have spoken of these virtues where we considered the gifts of the Holy Spirit and other virtues.

Ответ. Мужество, рассматриваемое как Христианская добродетель, есть непоколебимая твердость духа, которую сохраняет Христианин при нападении на него всех возможных искушений, претерпеваемых им за Христа от видимого или невидимого врага. Сию твердость так описывает Павел: «Кто ны разлучит от любве Божия; скорбь ли, или теснота, или гонение, или глад, или нагота, или беда, или меч».
