XXXII. Verba Filii hominis.
XXXII. Verba Filii hominis.
And from that living light, I heard a voice again saying to me: "What you see is true, and as you see it, so it is, and there is more to it." And behold, I heard the sweetest and most delightful sound of a voice, like drops of balsam falling upon me, and it was saying: I am the will of the Divine before the ages and before time, and I have no beginning of time. I am the will of the Divine, through which God created all things by discerning and proving them. I am also the mirror of God's providence for all, and I have power: I spoke with a mighty voice, in which the word resounded, namely, 'Let it be,' through which all things came into being; where I also divided the times of times for those who see with their eyes, considering how they are, or how all things are. With my own mouth, I also made my official work, namely the figure that I formed from the dust, and I uniquely embraced it with love; thus, through the fiery breath, I transformed it into flesh, and I gave it the duty of all creation. After I rested, I considered how man had been deceived by the serpent's counsel. Then I came in flames, and in the womb of the Virgin, I rested and took flesh from her, which had never been stained by any filth, so that just as the flesh of Adam was pure at first, I became incarnate, and thus I grew mighty in virtue over all humanity, because I did not sow that seed through the coagulation of blood, since the serpent had deceived the first man through the temptation of flesh. The devil stripped away his own glory, and he was taken away from me; therefore, I wounded him through circumcision, and I led every suggestion of his deception into confusion according to the commandments of the law. But afterward, coming forth from the womb of the Virgin, I sought the man submerged in the waters, and thus I cleansed the virile seed in those same waters, just as fire brings forth water, and in this way I purified everything. I went around my wheel until I renewed the alien offspring; and so, by kissing the figure of man that touched me, I established a right union, and by making man an official in creation, I designated the continents; and by coming forth from the Virgin, I established the rule of virginity in both man and woman, while they were set apart. I also placed a point in the center of my wheel, through which I foresaw a spiritual people living without secular habits. So I filled my wheel against the cunning of the ancient serpent, who did not know me, because my incarnation was quietly hidden from him. For he had seen Adam, but he did not fully recognize him, which is why he tried to tempt him into doing something, and he deceived him in his duties. But I have bound and crushed the strong power of that one in my humanity, yet he will not fully know me, except when I sit upon the judgment seat, where all will be confounded. And here, through true purification, I have placed those who truly believe and are truly blessed in the glory of paradise and in the glory of heavenly joys.
