LXXVI. Peccatorum confessio Trinitatem ostendit.
LXXVI. Peccatorum confessio Trinitatem ostendit.
For if a person reveals their sins to God through the ear of the priest, this is from the Holy Spirit, who has given the power to make the waters flow and to cleanse all impurities; therefore, it is fitting for God to purify sins in water. A person who acknowledges their guilt for their sin reveals the Holy Trinity: the Father in repentance, the Son in confession, and the Holy Spirit in the sweat of shame.
