Chapter 62LiVM.5.62

LXXVII. Deus ab angelis et homi^iibus laudatur.

LXXVII. Deus ab angelis et homi^iibus laudatur.

Just as God is praised by angels, and as His works are recognized in this praise—wherein the strings and harmonies and all voices sound forth His glory—because this is the official law of their kind, so too He must be praised by humans, since a person appears in two ways: namely, by praising God and by showing good works within themselves, for through His praise God is known, and through good works the wonders of God are seen in them. For a person is made angelic through praise, and through holy works, a person is defined. He is indeed the fullness of God's work, because through praising and acting, all of God's miracles are accomplished in him.
