XXIIII. Quomodo anima de viriute in virtutem ascendit.

When the soul follows holiness in a person, God works many miracles in and through it, which even others, as if from the unknown, are amazed and terrified by. For the Holy Spirit, proceeding from the strength of God's gifts, gently leads the faithful soul, enabling all its powers to move from virtue to virtue and to ascend marvelously, just as a certain air, emerging from the legs of that same man, stirs all the waters of the abyss in various ways as it comes out with sweat.

Cum enim aniraa in homine sanctitatem sequitur, Deus in ea et per eam tanla miracula multoties operatur, quod etiam alii velut ex incognitis et terrentur el mirantur.

Nam de fortitudine donorum Dei Spiritus Sanctus suavi lenitate ad fidelem animam procedens, cunctas vires ejus de virtute in virtutem ire et ascendere mirabiliter facit, velut etiam de cruribus ejusdem viri aer quidam cum sudore exiens, omnes aquas abyssi diverso modo movet.
