XLI. Quod accusator sui Diabolum erubescere facit.
XLI. Quod accusator sui Diabolum erubescere facit.
How? Whenever a person, recognizing their sins, turns away from them, they know God; and when their soul sighs to God through its longings, they see God; and when they begin to build just and holy works, they cultivate an angelic order; and when a good reputation for their good deeds spreads among people, it flies from Him, writing the secrets of God with the Cherubim. The Devil, seeing this, is ashamed because a person abandons their sins and returns to their Creator, which he himself, hardened in the wickedness of his own perversion, does not want to do. A faithful person should turn to God and give Him glory for the total salvation of their life, because it is just to show their Creator a pious and holy devotion of the heart, just as the Psalmist encourages, saying: XLII David about the same matter, 54. Bring glory and honor to the Lord; bring glory to His name. Worship the Lord in His holy sanctuary. His sense is such. You who desire to avoid evil and do good, offer all glory to the Lord of all with complete devotion, in true faith, and honor in the service of justice; indeed, having a right faith, you fulfill it with blessed works. Therefore, give glory to the same Lord with a sincere heart, as you call Him your God; and when you call Him your God, truly believe that He is the one true God, and as you do good works according to Him, remember that you were made in His image and likeness. Therefore, worship the same Lord of all with a humble mind and a bowed body in all the sacred institutions of the Church, which are holy, because they reach the throne of His majesty; and do this also through abstinence and chastity, as well as through other virtues that walk in His presence, imitating the heavenly harmony and the angelic order, and serve Him faithfully. Let this holy and faithful soul, while it still remains in the body, act in such a way that it flees from the Devil and his temptations; let it cling to its Creator, and quickly turn away from those things that strive to suffocate it. But whoever has a desire for life in Him should receive these words and keep them in the inner chamber of their heart. And behold, I saw other spirits of that multitude, who were shouting and saying: 'Lucifer will do what he pleases, and we will be with him; neither he nor we will face anything else.' They encourage people to commit injustice and persuade no one to give what is theirs.

Quomodo?
