XXXII. Libtr Sapientiae ad eamdem rem
The righteous will shine like sparks flying through the reeds; they will judge nations and rule over peoples, and God will reign over them forever, whose understanding is such. The just will receive the brightness of eternity and the perpetual joy that comes from their holy works, which are the fruits of the holy Trinity, in the wheel that Ezekiel saw; in those, God will see them, and they will see God. And so, in the heights and depths of radiant bliss, they will be lifted up with joy and gladness, free from the burdens of fragile flesh; and there, shining in their holy works, they will feel no heaviness of body, but will expand in holiness, unimpeded by any hindrance. Therefore, by the judicial judgment of the Lord, they will be judged who have clung to their sins, trampling underfoot the sins that they did not cultivate in their habits; and thus, by a straight and just judgment, they will rule over the peoples who feel themselves to have been a part of the worldly concerns and desires of this age.
