Therefore, even in those places where there should be growth, there is none; instead, it is dry and barren due to the wicked superstitions of diabolical arts found among perverse people, who turn everything they do toward their pleasures and desires, saying in their hearts and with their tongues, 'Who is that God?' or 'Who could that God be?' or 'What power does He have, whom they have never seen, but who is always hidden?'
