LXXXVIII. Poenitentia joculatorum
And I heard a voice from the living light saying to me again: "What you see is true, and as you see it, so it is." But those who cling to this vice in the world, if they ignore the persuasion of this diabolical art and if they turn away from the punishments of the same vice, will afflict their flesh according to the quality and nature of their own sins, through fasts in which they will also avoid what is precious, according to the right judgment of their judges. 47

Et vocem de praefata vivente luce iterum mihi dicentem audivi: Haec quae vides, vera sunt, et ut ea vides, ita sunt.
Sed qui in saeculo buic vitio insistunt, si suasionem hujus diabolicae artis neglexerint, et si poenas ejusdem vitii abhorruerint, carnem suam, secundum qualitatem et tenorem eorumdem peccatorum suorum, jeiuniis affligant, in quibus etiam pretiosum potius devitent, secundura rectum judicium judicum suorum. 47
