However, what you see in that same fog are various kinds of vices in their images; this means that in infidelity, every kind of vice is present with all its companions, because whoever lacks faith is deprived of all good. From these seven, you can see that their fullness is shown to you in their exchanges, not because they exist in their forms, but because their meanings are revealed in this way, since the Devil, having many darts of wickedness, strives to cast man into the pit of destruction.

Quod autem in eadem nebula diversa genera vitiorum in imaginibus suis vides, hoc est quod in infidelitate omnc genus vitiorum cum omni comitatu suo est, quoniam qui fidem non habet, omni bono caret.

Ex quibus septem in hunc modum consideras, quia plenitudo eorum in commutationibus suis tibi ostenditur, non autem quod ita in formis suis sint, sed quod significationes eorum hoc modo manifestantur, quoniam Diabolus multa jacula perversitatis habens, hominem in lacum perditionis mittere nititur.
