LIIII. Incarnatio ut 8ol illuminat mundum
And in that same bright cloud, the sun and moon appear, which signifies in the purity of Virginity the hidden mystery of the most chaste Incarnation, which, like the sun, illuminates the world, and also signifies the Church, which in the regeneration of baptism imitates Christ, just as the moon follows the sun. Thus, in the sun, there is a lion, namely in the hidden mystery that lay in God, but which nonetheless shone forth in all things, namely this miracle that God willed to become man, since the Son of God, taking flesh from a virgin mother, appeared as a man like a lion, advancing in a foreign way, in which no man was found except Him alone.

Et in eadem lucida nube, sol et luna apparent, quod designat in candore Virginitatis occultum mysterium castissimae incamationis, quod, sicut sol, mundum illuminat, et quod etiam Ecclesiam designat, quae in regeneratione baptismi Christum imitatur, quemadmodum luna solem subsequitur.
Unde etiam in sole leo est, scilicet in occulto mysterio, quod in Deo latuit, sed quod tamen per omnia resplenduit, videlicet miraculum hoc quod Deus homo fieri voluit, quoniam Filius Dei de virginali materia carnem assumens, ac sic in fortissima vi Divinitatis, homo velut leo apparens, in aliena via progrediebatur, in qua nullus homo nisi ipse solus inventus est.
