XIII. Verba ineptae laetiUae
XIII. Verba ineptae laetiUae
The seventh image stretched from above down to the lower parts of the human body, except that its appearance was like that of a monkey; however, from the loins and back, it resembled a goat, but its feet were so deeply embedded in the darkness that I couldn't see them perfectly. She also had no hardness, but appeared completely bare, and she said: I find a sweet life and a beautiful way in her, so why should I hold back from her? This life, in which I was created, God gave to me; and what good is it to me if there is some joy in my flesh? Copper is first hard, and though it appears black, later it will shine like gold: so too, if there are any stains in my flesh, I am not guilty. Many people are in the blindness of this life, who don’t know what they’re doing. I know this, and I desire to have it.
