The Fatherly Hand of Providence
God's providence is defined as His active, almighty, and fatherly governance over every detail of creation.
What do you understand by the providence of God? The almighty and ever-present power of God, through which He sustains heaven and earth with all creatures as through His hand, governs them so that leaves and grass, rain and drought, fruitful and unfruitful years, food and drink, health and sickness, wealth and poverty, and everything else come to us not by chance, but from His fatherly hand.
Living by Trust in God
Knowing God's providence enables the believer to live with patience, gratitude, and unwavering trust.
What good does it do us to know about creation and God's providence? God wants us to be patient in all adversity, grateful in happiness, and full of trust in our faithful God and Father for the future, so that nothing will separate us from His love, because all creatures are in His hand, and they cannot move or act without His will.

Was verstehst du unter der Vorsehung Gottes? Die allmächtige und gegenwärtige Kraft Gottes, durch die er Himmel und Erde mit allen Geschöpfen wie durch seine Hand noch erhält und so regiert, dass Laub und Gras, Regen und Dürre, fruchtbare und unfruchtbare Jahre, Essen und Trinken, Gesundheit und Krankheit, Reichtum und Armut und alles andere uns nicht durch Zufall, sondern aus seiner väterlichen Hand zukommt.
Was nützt uns die Erkenntnis der Schöpfung und Vorsehung Gottes? Gott will damit, dass wir in aller Widerwärtigkeit geduldig, in Glückseligkeit dankbar und auf die Zukunft hin voller Vertrauen zu unserem treuen Gott und Vater sind, dass uns nichts von seiner Liebe scheiden wird, weil alle Geschöpfe so in seiner Hand sind, dass sie sich ohne seinen Willen weder regen noch bewegen können.
