Divine Judgment on Wicked Kings
Jehu, anointed by God, confronts and executes King Joram for his mother Jezebel's wickedness, fulfilling God's word by casting Joram's body into Naboth's plot.
Now after God sent Elisha and he anointed Jehu to be king, Joram, Ahab's son, saw Jehu and said to him: “Peace to you, Jehu!1 ”2 But Jehu said: “What peace is this peace of yours, while your mother Jezebel, that whore, keeps on with her sorceries and her spells?”3 At that Joram turned around and tried to flee, and he said to Ahaziah: “You're betrayed, Ahaziah!4 ”5 But Jehu took the bow in his hand and an arrow, and he drew on Joram, and shot him between the shoulders, and the arrow went straight through his heart. So he fell down and died. Then King Jehu said to one of his officers: “Go, take him and throw him down on the plot of Naboth the Israelite.”6 So that officer did exactly that, and the word of God was fulfilled.78

Iară după ce trimise Dumnezeu pre Elisei și unse pre Iue să fie împărat, iar Ioaram, feciorul lui Ahav, deaca văzu pre Iue îi zise: „Pace ție, Iue! “. Iar Iue zise: „Ce pace iaste această pace a ta, cându curva mumă-ta Iezavela umblă tot cu vrăji și cu farmece“. Deacii Ioaram să întoarse și vru să fugă și zise lui Ozie: „Ficlean ești, o, Ozie! “. Iar Iue luo arcul în mână și o săgeată și trase în Ioaram, și-l săgetă între spéte, și trecu săgeata tocmai pren inimă. Deacii el căzu jos și muri. Iar Iue împărat zise unui vătaf al său: „Pasă de-l ia și-l aruncă în locul lui Navuthei israiliteanul“.
Deacii vătaful acela făcu așa, și să umplu cuvântul lui Dumnezeu.
