XXIX. O victoriosissimi triumphatores (De martiribus)
The Martyrs' Paschal Feast
The victorious martyrs, having poured out their blood and despised their living bodies, are welcomed into the Lamb's own feast and restored to their inheritance through his suffering.
Antiphon: O most victorious triumphant ones, who in the pouring out of your blood, greeting the building up of the Church, you entered into the blood of the Lamb, feasting with the slain calf: O how great a reward you have, because while your bodies were still alive you despised them, imitating the Lamb of God, adorning his suffering, through which he brought you into the restoration of the inheritance.✦✦✦

Antiphona: O victoriosissimi triumphatores, qui in effusione sanguinis vestri salutantes edificationem ecclesie intrastis sanguinem agni epulantes cum vitulo occiso: O quam magnam mercedem habetis, quia corpora vestra viventes despexistis imitantes agnum dei, ornantes penam eius, in qua vos introduxit in restaurationem hereditatis.
