Lat thet icke förtryta tich
Trust Amidst the Wicked
The believer is encouraged to remain steadfast and faithful, trusting in God's provision rather than being troubled by the temporary prosperity of the wicked.
Don't be troubled, even if there are many who devote themselves to every kind of evil and treat their neighbors cruelly. Like grass and hay, they'll soon be cut down and wither all at once. God will surely be your comfort. Put your hope and trust in the Lord and don't neglect to do good. You don't need to wander here or there, for God will see your cause through. Stay and live in your own land; conduct yourself there in true faith, and he will surely provide for you.
Commitment to God's Will
By committing one's way to the Lord and waiting patiently, the believer finds peace and eventual vindication in God's timing.
Whatever God lays upon you, be content with it. He hears the prayer of your heart, even when he seems to delay. Commit your whole way to God and place your firm hope in him; he will surely provide what is best for you.✦ He will vindicate you and make your innocence shine as brightly as the day, while others are put to shame and left without a defense. Wait quietly for God, as you should, and be content with whatever He does according to His holy will.✦
The Inheritance of the Meek
The believer is warned against envy and anger, promised that the meek will ultimately inherit the land and find lasting rest.
Don't envy the person who follows the ways of the world and devotes himself entirely to deceit and wrongdoing. Let go of anger and bitterness, so that you don't do what displeases God and become like those who do evil.✦ Everyone acting out of hatred and malice must be uprooted, but those who look to the Lord will remain in the land. Soon the wicked will fall and vanish from this place; you won't find them anymore. The gentle and meek will inherit the land, delight in its riches with joy and complete freedom, and live in deep peace—for the heart finds its greatest rest in what endures, no matter which way the world may turn.

Never lose the rhythm again
Chosen Portion delivers your morning, midday and night office to your phone — the Hours, without the bells.
Chosen Portion is a modern Book of Hours: it turns the fixed-hour structure this collection preserves into scheduled, tappable daily prayer on your phone.
- Three daily prayer moments scheduled around your real calendar, not a monastery's
- Psalms and historic prayers sequenced for you — no page-flipping or decision fatigue
- A visible streak of completed offices, so the rhythm compounds instead of collapsing
