A Mother's Plea and the Son's Response
Mary intercedes for the world, and the Son promises to fulfill her request through his grace.
Mary speaks to the Son: "Blessed are you, my Son!" You are the beginning that has no beginning in time, and the power without which no one is powerful. I ask you, Son, bring to a powerful completion what you have wisely begun!" The Son answered: "You are like a sweet drink to the thirsty and like a fountain watering the dry ground, because through you, grace flows to everyone." So, I will do what you ask."
The Wilderness of the World
Christ describes the pre-incarnate world as a dangerous wilderness where humanity was led astray by false teachers and the love of worldly things.
The Son speaks again: "Before my incarnation, this world was like a wasteland, where there was a well that was murky and unclean." Everyone who drank from it grew thirstier, and their eyes grew dim, making their infirmity even worse. Beside this well, however, stood two men; one of them was shouting, 'Drink safely, for the doctor has come to take away every sickness.' The other was saying, 'Drink joyfully!' It is vanity to desire uncertain things. Seven paths also led to this well, which is why everyone longed for it. This world, then, is well compared to a wilderness where there are wild beasts, fruitless trees, and foul waters; for humanity, in the likeness of a beast, was eager to shed the blood of its neighbor, fruitless in works of justice, and defiled by incontinence and greed. In this wilderness, people sought out a murky well—namely, the love of the world and its honors, which are exalted in pride and murky with anxiety and the cravings of the flesh. And through the seven deadly sins, as if by seven paths, access to it was gained. The two men standing by the well represent the teachers of the Gentiles and the Jews. For the teachers of the Jews were arrogant about the Law, which they possessed but did not keep. And because they were so greedy, they incited the people with their words and examples to pursue worldly things, saying, 'Live securely, for the Messiah will come and restore all things.' The teachers of the Gentiles, however, said, 'Use the created things you see, because the world was created so that we might enjoy it.'
The Way of Light and the Call to Return
Christ reveals his incarnation as the light that showed the true path, and he promises to send his words to those who will heed them in a time of spiritual decay.
When humanity was so blind that it neither paid attention to God nor thought of the future, I—one God with the Father and the Holy Spirit—came into the world, and by taking on human nature, I preached and spoke openly: “What God promised and Moses wrote has been fulfilled.” “Love heavenly things, then, because worldly things pass away, and I will give you eternal ones.” I also showed a sevenfold way by which a person might turn away from their vanity. For I showed you poverty and obedience; I taught you fasting and prayer; I would sometimes withdraw from people to stand alone in prayer, and I took on insults; I chose labor and sorrow, and I endured suffering and a shameful death. I showed this way myself, the very path my friends walked for a long time. But now, that way has been scattered. The guardians are dozing, and those passing by are distracted by empty, novel things. Therefore, I will rise up and I won't be silent. I will take away the voice of joy and lease my vineyard to others who will produce fruit in their own time. Yet, as the saying goes, you can find friends even among enemies; so, I will send my friends words sweeter than a date, smoother than honey, and more precious than gold. Those who receive and hold onto these words will possess that eternally blessed treasure, which doesn't fail, but rather grows in the life that lasts forever.

Iterum loquitur Filius: "Mundus iste ante incarnacionem meam erat quasi quedam solitudo, in qua puteus erat turbidus et immundus. De quo omnes bibentes siciebant amplius et lippientes oculos grauius infirmabantur.
Iuxta hunc autem puteum stabant duo viri, quorum alter clamans dicebat: 'Bibite secure, quia medicus venit auferens omnem languorem.' Alter vero dicebat: 'Bibite gaudenter! Vanum est incerta desiderare.' Ad hunc quoque puteum septem ducebant vie, et ideo omnes puteum cupiebant.
Mundus itaque iste bene similatur solitudini, vbi sunt bestie et arbores infructuose et aque immunde, quia homo ad similitudinem bestie auidus erat ad effundendum sanguinem proximi sui, infructuosus in operibus iusticie et immundus per incontinenciam et cupiditatem.

Duo vero viri stantes iuxta puteum significant magistros gentilium et Iudeorum. Doctores enim Iudeorum superbiebant de lege, quam habebant et non seruabant.
