The Plea of Saint Dionysius
Saint Dionysius intercedes before the Virgin Mary, begging for mercy upon France and his own people amidst great spiritual and physical peril.
While I was praying, I saw blessed Dionysius speaking to the Virgin Mary, saying: "Queen of mercy, you are the one to whom all mercy has been given, and you were made the Mother of God for the salvation of the wretched." Have mercy, then, on your kingdom of France and on mine. On yours, because its people honor you as best they can; on mine, because I am their patron and they place their trust in me. You, however, see how many souls are in danger every hour, and how people's bodies are struck down like beasts; and, what is more serious, how souls descend into hell like snow. Comfort them, therefore, and pray for them, because you are their Lady and the helper of all.
The Mother's Direction
The Virgin Mary directs the petitioner to seek the answer directly from her Son.
The Mother of God replied, "Go to my Son, and let's hear what He himself will answer for the one standing here."

Cum essem orando, vidi, qualiter ad virginem Mariam beatus Dyonisius loquebatur dicens: "Regina misericordie, tu es, cui data est omnis misericordia, et mater Dei facta es propter miserorum salutem.
Miserere igitur regno Francie tuo et meo. Tuo quidem, quia habitatores eius te pro modulo suo honorant; meo autem, quia patronus eorum sum et in me habent fiduciam.
Tu quippe vide, quante anime periclitantur omni hora et hominum corpora quasi bestie prosternuntur et, quod grauius est, anime quasi nix descendunt in infernum. Consolare ergo eos et roga pro eis, quia domina es et omnium adiutrix."
Respondit Mater Dei: "Procedas ad Filium meum et audiamus propter istam, que astat, quid ipse respondebit."
