The Objective Reality of Grace

The Virgin illustrates that divine grace and truth retain their inherent power and sweetness regardless of whether the individual perceives them.

The Mother speaks: "Even though a blind person doesn't see, the sun still shines in the splendor and beauty of its brightness; and seeing this brightness, travelers who have clear sight rejoice as they avoid the dangers of their journey." Even if a deaf person doesn't hear it, the torrent still falls from above with the roar of its own force, crashing violently upon them, while those who can hear flee to safer ground. And although the dead cannot taste it, the good drink still keeps the sweetness of its flavor even while the person is rotting in worms; but the living person who tastes it is gladdened in their heart and becomes bold for every manly work.
