A Call to Discernment
The Mother of God instructs the visionary to trust in the light of the Holy Spirit and to deliver a message despite the gravity of the situation.
The Mother says, "Don't be afraid of what you're about to see, or assume it comes from an evil spirit." For just as the sun’s approach brings two things—light and heat—which don't follow in the wake of dark shadows, In the same way, when the Holy Spirit enters the heart, two things arrive: the ardor of divine love and the perfect illumination of holy faith. You're feeling these two things right now. These two things also don't follow the devil, who is compared to a dark shadow. Send my messenger, then, to the one I named to you; even though I already know his heart, his response, and how quickly his life will end. Nevertheless, you must send these following words to him.
The Crumbling Foundation
A prophetic warning is given regarding the severe decay and imminent danger facing the Church due to the failure of its leaders.
Finally, I am letting him know that the foundation on the right side of the holy Church has collapsed so severely that the main vault has many cracks, causing dangerous falls that cost the lives of many who enter. Most of the columns that should reach toward the heights are leaning all the way down to the ground. The entire floor is so undermined that those who are blind and enter in fall dangerously. Sometimes, even those who see clearly fall just as badly as the blind because of the dangerous pits in that same floor. Because of these things, the Church of God is in such great danger; and given its current state, what is closer to it than ruin? I tell you most certainly that unless it finds the help of restoration, its ruin will be so grave that it will be heard throughout all of Christendom.
The Rainbow of Intercession
The Virgin Mary describes her role as an intercessor for the Church, contrasting her prayer with the dark clouds of corruption and greed among the clergy.
I am that Virgin into whose womb the Son of God deigned to come, with every contagious pleasure of the flesh excluded. That same Son of God was born from my closed womb with the greatest consolation and without any pain. I stood by the cross when, with true patience, He victoriously conquered hell and opened heaven with the blood of His heart. I was also on the mountain when the Son of God, who is both God and my Son, ascended into heaven. I also understand the entire Catholic faith with perfect clarity, just as He taught it by preaching to everyone who wants to enter heaven. And so, I now stand over the world in constant prayer, like a rainbow over a cloud that seems to bend toward the earth and touch it with both ends. By that heavenly arc, I mean myself, for I lean down toward the inhabitants of the world, touching both the good and the bad with my prayer. I lean toward the good so they may be made steadfast in what the holy Church commands, and toward the bad so they might not continue in their malice and become even worse. I am letting the person I mentioned to you know that, on one side, dark and horrible clouds are rising against the brightness of the arc. By these clouds, I mean those who live a life of prostitution in the flesh and are insatiable, like the abyss of the sea, in their greed for money. They also squander their goods recklessly and wastefully, pouring them out for the sake of pride just as a rushing torrent pours out water. Many who oversee the Church today engage in these three things; their sins, horrible in the sight of God, rise to heaven against my prayer just like dark clouds against the brightness of the rainbow. In the same way, those who ought to be appeasing the wrath of God alongside me are instead provoking His wrath against themselves, and such people should not be exalted in the Church of God.
Renewal of the Vineyard
The Queen of Heaven promises her aid in restoring the Church through the renewal of humility and divine love.
Whoever, then, wishes to take care that the foundation of the Church may be made stable, and that that blessed vineyard which God founded with His own blood may be renewed, if they see themselves to be insufficient,✦ I, the Queen of Heaven, wish to come to his aid with all the angels, by rooting out the sandy foundations, casting the barren trees into the fire, and planting fruitful branches in their place. By the vineyard, however, I mean the Church of God, in which two things—namely, humility and divine love—must be renewed.
The Reward of the Faithful
The Son of God offers encouragement to those who work for the truth, warning of the trials to come while promising reward for those who remain steadfast.
The Son of God speaks of the Pope’s messengers: "You have come into the company of the great, and you will yet rise to even greater things." Therefore, anyone who works to ensure that humility is exalted deserves the highest reward, because pride has already risen too far. Whoever has love for souls will also have the greatest honor, because ambition and simony now reign in most people. Blessed, too, will be the one who tries as best they can to see that vices are rooted out of the world, because they are growing stronger now than they usually do. It’s also most useful to have and to pray for patience, because in the days of many people living now, the sun will be darkened, the stars will be thrown into confusion, wisdom will be made foolish, the humble will groan on the earth, and the bold will prevail. It’s the mark of the wise to understand and interpret these things—those who know how to smooth out rough places and foresee what’s coming. This previous revelation was given to the Cardinal of Albano, who was the prior at the time.
