Scripture echoes

  1. ↩1Tim.2.2 — for kings and all who hold high office, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and dignity." "Hold high office" is clearer than "are in high positions," and "so that" strengthens the purpose clause.
  2. ↩Eph.1.21;Col.1.16;1Tim.2.1-1Tim.2.2 — far above every rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come Col.1.16 — For in him all things were created, in the heavens and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things have been created through him and for him. 1Tim.2.1 — I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people. 1Tim.2.2 — for kings and all who hold high office, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and dignity." "Hold high office" is clearer than "are in high positions," and "so that" strengthens the purpose clause.
  3. ↩2Tim.2.15 — Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

Notes

  1. 1 ↩Source reads eustoditi; translated as custoditi (divinely protected), the only plausible intended form.
  2. 2 ↩Source has Greek οἵ between Principatus and potestatis; rendered as the expected Latin et in the set phrase principatus et potestas (principalities and powers). Neighboring sections confirm an intercession for civil/military ranks continued in the next unit.
  3. 3 ↩recto pede incedentis is the idiom of walking a straight / upright path; in eodem continues the previous clause (the word of truth / that same course).
  4. 4 ↩Source unit is non-Latin print/OCR debris (|G«/.), not a translatable clause.
  5. 5 ↩ii. looks like a Roman numeral, signature, or segmentation artifact, not prose.
  6. 6 ↩14.] is almost certainly a note/reference marker, not Latin prayer text.
  7. 7 ↩Source reading is the non-Latin fragment AND., with no recoverable Latin wording in this section. Rendered as a bare connective fragment rather than invented prose.
  8. 8 ↩Normalized PREQCES as PRECES (prayers), a likely OCR corruption (q for c). Trailing R. is retained as printed debris or a response/signature mark; it is not expanded into full liturgical wording.
