Rising from sleep, I thank You, Holy Trinity, because in Your great goodness and patience You were not angry with me, lazy and sinful as I am, nor did You destroy me with my sins. Instead, as always, You showed Your love for humanity and raised me when I lay unaware, so that I might rise at dawn and praise Your power. Now, enlighten the eyes of my mind; open my lips to meditate on Your words, understand Your commandments, do Your will, sing to You with heartfelt praise, and glorify Your all-holy name—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—now and always and forever and ever.1 Amen.

От сна воста́в, благодарю́ Тя, Свята́я Тро́ице, я́ко мно́гия ра́ди Твоея́ бла́гости и долготерпе́ния не прогне́вался еси́ на мя, лени́ваго и гре́шнаго, ниже́ погуби́л мя еси́ со беззако́ньми мои́ми; но человеколю́бствовал еси́ обы́чно и в неча́янии лежа́щаго воздви́гл мя еси́, во е́же у́треневати и славосло́вити держа́ву Твою́. И ны́не просвети́ мои́ о́чи мы́сленныя, отве́рзи моя́ уста́ поуча́тися словесе́м Твои́м, и разуме́ти за́поведи Твоя́, и твори́ти во́лю Твою́, и пе́ти Тя во испове́дании серде́чнем, и воспева́ти всесвято́е и́мя Твое́, Отца́ и Сы́на и Свята́го Ду́ха, ны́не и при́сно и во ве́ки веко́в.
