A Plea for Deliverance and Renewal

The petitioner invokes the intercession of the saints and the mercy of Christ to be rescued from spiritual peril and transformed by divine grace.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, through the prayers of your most honored Mother, your bodiless angels, your prophet, forerunner, and baptizer, your apostles who spoke of God, your radiant and victorious martyrs, your holy and God-bearing fathers, and all the saints, deliver me from the demonic assault now surrounding me. Yes, my Lord and Creator, you do not desire the death of a sinner, but that the sinner should turn back and live; grant conversion to me as well, wretched and unworthy as I am. Rescue me from the jaws of the deadly serpent, which gapes open to devour me and drag me alive into hell. Yes, my Lord and my consolation, you clothed yourself in corruptible flesh for the sake of a wretch like me; tear me away from my misery, and grant consolation to my wretched soul. Plant in my heart the desire to obey your commandments, abandon wicked deeds, and receive your blessings; for I have placed my hope in you, Lord—save me.
