A Morning Plea for Vigilance
The believer asks the Savior to awaken them from spiritual laziness and grant a sinless day.
Rising from sleep, I offer you a song at midnight, Savior, and falling before you I cry out: Do not let me fall asleep in the death of sin, but have mercy on me, you who willingly endured crucifixion; quickly raise me from the bed of laziness, and save me as I stand before you in prayer; and after the night's sleep, let a sinless day dawn for me, Christ our God, and save me.

От сна воста́в, полу́нощную песнь приношу́ Ти, Спа́се, и припа́дая вопию́ Ти: не даждь ми усну́ти во грехо́вней сме́рти, но уще́дри мя, распны́йся во́лею, и лежа́щаго мя в ле́ности ускори́в возста́ви, и спаси́ мя в предстоя́нии и моли́тве, и по сне нощне́м возсия́й ми день безгре́шен, Христе́ Бо́же, и спаси́ мя.
