Ad Matutinum
Ad Matutinum
The following Invitatory is said on the day of the Commemoration of all the faithful departed, and whenever three Nocturns are said, as above; however, at other times it is omitted and begins with the Antiphon of the Nocturn Psalms, and only one Nocturn is said with its Lauds, in this order: Second and fifth weekdays, the first Nocturn. On the third and sixth, according to the Nocturn. On the fourth weekday and Saturday, the third Nocturn. Invitatory: Come, let us adore the King, to whom all living things belong. And it is repeated: Come, let us adore the King, to whom all living things belong. Psalm 94: Come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord; let us shout with joy to our saving God. Let us come before his face with confession, and let us sing to him in psalms. Come, let us worship the King, to whom all living things belong. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods; for the Lord will not reject his people, because in his hand are all the ends of the earth, and he sees the heights of the mountains. Come, let us worship. For the sea is his, and he made it; and his hands founded the dry land: come, let us worship, and let us bow down before God; let us weep before the Lord who made us; for he is the Lord our God; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture. Come, let us worship the King, to whom all living things belong. Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the wilderness, where your fathers tested me; they proved me and saw my works. Come, let us worship. For forty years I was close to this generation, and I said, 'Always they go astray in their hearts; they have not known my ways.' I swore in my anger, 'They shall not enter my rest.'✦ Come, let us worship the King, to whom all living things belong. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Come, let us worship. Come, let us worship the King, to whom all living things belong. In the first nocturne. For the second and fifth feria. Antiphon: Direct us. Psalm 5: Lord, hear my words; understand my cry. Listen to the voice of my prayer, my King and my God. For I will pray to you, Lord; in the morning you will hear my voice. In the morning I will stand before you and see you, for you are not a God who delights in wickedness. The wicked shall not dwell with you; the unjust shall not remain in your sight. You hate all who do iniquity; you will destroy all who speak lies. The Lord abhors the man of blood and deceit; but I, in the abundance of your mercy, will come to you. I will enter your house; I will worship toward your holy temple in reverence for you. Lord, lead me in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before me. For there is no truth in their mouths; their hearts are vain. Their throat is an open grave; they deceive with their tongues; judge them, O God. Let them fall away from their thoughts; according to the multitude of their iniquities, cast them out, for they have provoked you, Lord. Let all who hope in you rejoice; they will be glad forever, and you will dwell among them. And all who love your name will glory in you, for you will bless the righteous. Lord, with the shield of your good will, you have crowned us. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Ant: Direct me, Lord my God, in your presence along my path. Ant: Turn to me, Lord. Psalm 6: O Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger, nor discipline me in your wrath. Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled. My soul is greatly troubled; but you, O Lord, how long? Turn, O Lord, and deliver my soul; save me for your mercy's sake. For there is no remembrance of you in death; in the grave, who will give you thanks? I am weary with my groaning; all night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears. My eye is wasted from grief; it grows old because of all my enemies. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord has accepted my prayer. Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; let them turn back and be ashamed quickly. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Ant: Turn to me, Lord, and rescue my soul, for there is no one in death who remembers you. Ant: Let it not be. Lord my God, I put my trust in you; save me from all my pursuers and deliver me. Let them not tear my soul like a lion, while there is no one to rescue or save me. Lord my God, if I have done this, if there is injustice in my hands, If I have repaid evil to those who were at peace with me, let me fall empty-handed before my enemies. Let the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it; let him trample my life to the ground and lay my glory in the dust. Arise, Lord, in your anger; lift yourself up against the fury of my enemies. And arise, Lord my God, by the command you have given; let the assembly of the peoples surround you. And for this reason, rise up high; the Lord judges the peoples. Judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness and according to my innocence against me. Let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; God tests the hearts and minds. My help comes from the Lord, who saves the upright in heart. God is a righteous judge, strong and patient; does He get angry every day? If you do not turn back, He will sharpen His sword; He has bent His bow and made it ready. And in it He has prepared the instruments of death; He makes His arrows fiery. Behold, he conceives iniquity and is pregnant with trouble, and gives birth to falsehood. He opens a pit and digs it out, and falls into the hole that he has made. His pain will turn back on his own head, and his wickedness will come down on the top of his head. I will give thanks to the Lord according to his righteousness; I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Ant: May a lion not seize my soul, while there is no one to redeem it, nor anyone to save it. From the gate of hell. Deliver, Lord, their souls. In secret: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil. Amen. First reading (Job 7): Spare me, Lord, for my days are nothing. What is man, that you make so much of him, or that you pay him any attention? You visit him in the morning and test him at once. How long will you not spare me, nor let me go, so I can swallow my spit? I have sinned. What should I do to you, O guardian of mankind? Why have you made me your target, and why have I become a burden to myself? Why do you not take away my sin? And why don't you take away my sin? Look, now I will sleep in the dust, and if you seek me in the morning, I will not be found. I believe that my Redeemer lives, and on the last day I will rise from the earth; and in my flesh, I will see God, my Savior. I will see him for myself, and not another; my own eyes will behold him. And in my flesh I will see God, my Savior. Second reading (Job 10): My soul is weary of my life; I will let my speech come before me. I will speak in the bitterness of my soul: I will say to God, do not condemn me. Tell me, why do you judge me this way? Does it seem good to you if you accuse me and oppress me, the work of your hands, and support the plans of the wicked? Are your eyes fleshly? Or do you see as a man sees, and will you see me? Is your day like a man's day, and are your years like human years, that you seek my iniquity and search for my sin? And know this: I have done nothing wicked, since there is no one who can rescue from your hand. You who raised Lazarus from the foul tomb. Grant them, Lord, rest and a place of forgiveness. You who are to come to judge the living and the dead, and the world by fire. Grant them, Lord, rest and a place of forgiveness. Third reading (Job 10): Your hands, Lord, made me and shaped me all around; and then suddenly you throw me down? Remember, I beg you, that you made me like clay, and you will turn me back to dust. Isn't it true that you churned me like milk and curdled me like cheese? You clothed me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews. You granted me life and mercy, and your visitation has preserved my spirit. Lord, when you come to judge the earth, where will I hide from the face of your wrath? For I have sinned greatly in my life. I tremble at my sins, and I blush before you: when you come to judge, do not condemn me. For I have sinned greatly in my life. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. For I have sinned greatly in my life. In the second nocturn. For the third and sixth feria. Antiphon: In a place of pastures. Psalmus 22: Dominus regit me, et nihil mihi deerit: in loco pascuae ibi me collocavit. Super aquam refectionis educavit me: animam meam convertit. Deduxit me super semitas iustitiae: propter nomen suum. Parasti in conspectu meo mensam: adversus eos qui tribulant me. Et misericordia tua subsequetur me: omnibus diebus vitae meae. And may I dwell in the house of the Lord for the length of my days. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Ant: He placed me in a place of pasture. Ant: Sins. To you, Lord, I lift up my soul: my God, I trust in you; let me not be put to shame.✦ Let not my enemies triumph over me; indeed, all who wait for you will not be put to shame.✦ Let all who act wickedly be put to shame; may they be silenced.✦ Show me your ways, Lord; teach me your paths.✦ Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; I wait for you all day long.✦ Remember your mercy, Lord, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old.✦ Do not remember the sins of my youth and my transgressions; according to your mercy remember me, for your goodness' sake, O Lord.✦ Remember me according to your mercy, Lord, for your goodness' sake.✦ The Lord is good and upright; therefore, he will instruct sinners in the way. He will guide the humble in judgment and teach the meek his ways. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth for those who seek his covenant and his testimonies. For your name's sake, O Lord, forgive my sin, for it is great. Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will set him in the way he should choose. His soul shall dwell in good things, and his offspring shall inherit the land. The Lord is a stronghold for those who fear him, and his covenant will be made known to them. My eyes are always on the Lord, for he will free my feet from the snare. Look upon me and have mercy, for I am alone and poor. The troubles of my heart are multiplied; deliver me from my necessities. See my humility and my labor, and forgive all my sins. Look upon my enemies, for they are multiplied, and they hate me with unjust hatred. Guard my soul and deliver me; do not let me be ashamed, for I have hoped in you. The innocent and upright have joined themselves to me, for I have waited for you. Deliver, O God of Israel, from all his tribulations. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Ant: Lord, don’t remember the sins of my youth and my ignorance. Ant: I believe I will see. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?✦ The Lord is the protector of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?✦ When the wicked come against me to eat my flesh, they stumble and fall.✦ Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear.✦ If war rises against me, in this I will be confident.✦ One thing I have asked of the Lord, this I will seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.✦ To behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.✦ For in the time of trouble He will hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He will hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.✦ For He hides me in His shelter in the day of trouble; He protects me under the cover of His tent. He lifted me high upon a rock; now my head is lifted up above my enemies. I have gone around and offered in His tent sacrifices of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord. Hear, O Lord, my voice when I cry to You; be merciful to me and answer me. My heart says to You, 'Your face, Lord, do I seek'; hide not Your face from me. Do not hide Your face from me; do not turn Your servant away in anger. Be my helper; do not forsake me or abandon me, O God of my salvation. For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in. Lord, set your law before me on your path, and guide me on the straight way because of my enemies. Do not hand me over to the souls of those who oppress me, for unjust witnesses have risen against me, and wickedness has lied to itself. I believe I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart, and wait for the Lord. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Ant: I believe I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. The Lord will place them with the leaders. He will place them with the leaders of his people. Amen. Fourth reading (Job 13): Answer me, how many iniquities and sins do I have? Show me my crimes and offenses. Why do you hide your face from me and treat me like your enemy? You show your power against a leaf blown by the wind, and you pursue a dry twig. You write bitter things against me and want to consume me because of my youthful sins. You have set my feet in the stocks and observed all my paths, and you have scrutinized the steps of my feet. I am like a rotten thing, to be consumed, and like a garment that is eaten away by moths. Remember me, O God, for my life is like the wind: let not the sight of man look upon me. Out of the depths I cried to you, Lord: Lord, hear my voice. Let not the sight of man look upon me. Reading five (Job 14): A man born of a woman lives a short time and is filled with many miseries.✦ He comes forth like a flower and withers; he flees like a shadow and does not remain in the same state.✦ Is it fitting for a leader to open your eyes to such matters and bring you into judgment with him? Who can make a clean thing out of something unclean? Aren't you the only one? The days of man are short; the number of his months is known to you. You have set limits for him that he cannot pass. So, step back a little from him, that he may rest until his desired day comes, like a hired hand's days. Alas, Lord, I've sinned greatly in my life. What can I do, miserable as I am, where can I flee, except to you, my God? Have mercy on me, Lord, when you come on the last day. My soul is deeply troubled; but you, Lord, help her. Have mercy on me when you come on the last day. Sixth reading (Job 14): Who will grant me this, that you protect me in the grave and hide me until your fury passes, and set a time for me when you will remember me? Do you think a dead man can live again? All the days I serve, I wait until my change comes. You will call me, and I will answer you. You will stretch out your hand to the work of your hands. You have counted my steps, but spare me from my sins. Lord, don't remember my sins when you come to judge the world by fire. Direct my way, Lord my God, in your sight: When you come to judge the world by fire. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. When you come to judge the world by fire. In the third nocturne. For the fourth feria and the Sabbath. Ant: May it please You. I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.✦ He heard my pleas for help and pulled me up from the pit of despair, from the mud and mire.✦ He set my feet on solid ground and steadied my steps.✦ He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.✦ Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.✦ Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud or to those who turn aside to false gods.✦ Lord my God, you have done many wonderful things, and your plans for us are too numerous to count.✦ I proclaimed your saving acts, and I did not conceal your love and faithfulness from the great assembly.✦ You didn't want sacrifice or offering; instead, you prepared ears for me. You didn't ask for burnt offerings or sin offerings; then I said, 'Here I am.' In the scroll of the book, it is written about me that I should do your will, my God; I wanted to do it, and your law is in the depths of my heart. I proclaimed your righteousness in the great assembly; behold, I will not restrain my lips, Lord, you know. I did not hide your righteousness in my heart; I spoke of your faithfulness and your salvation. I did not hide your mercy and your truth from the great assembly. But you, Lord, do not be far from me; your mercy and your truth have always supported me. For evils have surrounded me without number; my iniquities have overtaken me, and I cannot see. My troubles are more than the hairs on my head; my heart has forsaken me. May it please you, Lord, to rescue me: Lord, look to help me. Let those who seek my life be ashamed and confounded; let them turn back and be disgraced. Let them turn back and be ashamed, those who wish me harm. Let them bear their own confusion quickly, those who say to me, 'Well done, well done.' Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; let them always say, 'The Lord be magnified,' who love your salvation. But I am a poor and needy man; the Lord takes thought for me. You are my helper and my protector; my God, do not delay. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Ant: Lord, may it please you to rescue me; Lord, look to help me. Ant: Heal me, Lord. Blessed is the one who understands the plight of the poor: on a day of trouble, the Lord will deliver him.✦ May the Lord preserve him, and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth: and do not hand him over to the will of his enemies.✦ May the Lord bring him help on his sickbed: may you turn all his bed in his sickness.✦ I said, 'Lord, have mercy on me: heal my soul, for I have sinned against you.'✦ My enemies say evil against me: 'When will he die, and his name perish?'✦ And if he came in to see me, he spoke empty words: his heart gathered iniquity for himself.✦ He went out: and he spoke the same thing. All my enemies whispered against me: they plotted evil against me.✦ They have set up a wicked word against me: will he who sleeps not add that he may rise again? Indeed, the man of my peace, in whom I hoped, who ate my bread, has magnified a plot against me. But you, Lord, have mercy on me: and raise me up, and I will repay them. In this I know that you have desired me: for my enemy will not rejoice over me. But you have upheld me because of my innocence: and you have confirmed me in your presence forever. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: let it be, let it be. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Ant: Heal my soul, Lord, for I have sinned against you. Ant: My soul thirsts. As the deer longs for streams of water, so my soul longs for you, O God. My soul thirsts for the living God: when shall I come and appear before the face of God? My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all day long, 'Where is your God?' These things I remember, and I pour out my soul within me: for I shall go to the place of the wonderful tabernacle, even to the house of God. With the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping festival. Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance and my God. To myself, my soul is troubled: therefore I will remember you from the land of Jordan and of Hermon, from the little mountain. Deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and your billows have gone over me. All your mighty waves and your surging tides have swept over me. The Lord commands his mercy in the daytime, and at night his song is with me. My prayer is to you, O God of my life; I will say to God, 'You are my refuge.' Why have you forgotten me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy? As my bones suffer, my foes taunt me, saying, 'Where is your God?' They say to me all day long, 'Where is your God?' Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? I will hope in God, for I will still praise Him: He is the salvation of my face and my God. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Ant: My soul thirsts for God, the living fountain: when will I come and appear before the face of the Lord? Don't hand over the souls of those who confess to you to wild beasts. And don't forget the souls of your poor ones in the end. Amen. Seventh reading (Job 17): My spirit is weakened; my days are shortened, and only my grave remains. I have not sinned; yet my eye is troubled by bitterness. Deliver me, Lord, and place me next to You; and let any hand fight against me. My days have passed, my thoughts have scattered, tormenting my heart. The night has turned into day, and again after darkness, I hope for light. If I endure, hell is my home, and in darkness, I have set my bed. To decay, I said, 'You are my Father; my mother and my sister are worms.' Where is now my hope and my patience? You are, Lord, my God. Every day I sin, and the fear of death troubles me because there is no redemption in hell. Have mercy on me, God, and save me. God, save me in your name, and free me by your power. For there is no redemption in hell; have mercy on me, God, and save me. Eighth reading (Job 19): My skin, consumed by my flesh, clings to my bones; only my lips are left around my teeth. Have pity on me, have pity on me, at least you my friends, for the hand of the Lord has touched me. Why do you pursue me like God, and satisfy yourselves with my flesh? Who will grant me that my words may be written down? Who will give me that they may be inscribed in a book with an iron stylus and lead plate, or carved in the rock forever? For I know that my Redeemer lives, and in the last day I will rise from the earth; and again I will be surrounded by my skin, and in my flesh I will see God my Savior: whom I will see myself, and my own eyes will behold, and not another. This hope is laid up in my heart. Lord, according to my actions, do not judge me: I have done nothing worthy in your sight; therefore, I plead for your majesty, that you, God, may erase my iniquity. Lord, wash me more and more from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. That you, O God, may take away my iniquity. Ninth reading (Job 10): Why did you bring me out of the womb? I wish I had never been born, so that no eye would see me. I would be as if I had never been, carried from the womb to the grave. Isn't the shortness of my days going to come to an end soon? Let me go, so I can weep a little over my pain before I go, and never return to the dark land, covered by the shadow of death, the land of misery and darkness, where the shadow of death lies, and there is no order, but eternal horror dwells. Deliver me, Lord, from the paths of hell, you who have broken the gates of bronze and visited the underworld, and given them light so they could see you, who were in the torments of darkness. Crying out and saying, "You have come, our Redeemer." Those who were in the pains of darkness. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Those who were in the pains of darkness. And it is always said in the Ferial office. The following responsory is said alone on the day of the dead, and when the three nocturns are said, as mentioned above. Deliver me, Lord, from eternal death on that tremendous day, when the heavens and the earth will be shaken, when You come to judge the world by fire. I am filled with fear and trembling, for I fear when the judgment comes and the wrath that is to come. When the heavens are shaken and the earth. That day will be a day of wrath, calamity, and misery, a great and very bitter day. When you come to judge the world by fire. Grant them eternal rest, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Deliver me, O Lord, from eternal death on that dreadful day when the heavens and the earth will be shaken: when You come to judge the world by fire.

Venite adoremus.
Quadraginta annis proximus fui generationi huic: et dixi, semper hi errant corde: ipsi vero non cognoverunt vias meas: quibus iuravi in ira mea, si introibunt in requiem meam. Regem, cui omnia vivunt, Venite Adoremus.
Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine: et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Venite adoremus. Regem, cui omnia vivunt, Venite adoremus.
In primo nocturno. Pro feria secunda, et quinta.
Ant: Dirige.
Psalmus 5: Verba mea auribus percipe Domine: intellege clamorem meum.
Domine deduc me in iustitia tua propter inimicos meos: dirige in conspectu tuo viam meam. Decidant a cogitationibus suis, secundum multitudinem impietatum eorum expelle eos: quoniam irritaverunt te Domine. Et laetentur omnes, qui sperant in te: in aeternum exultabunt, et habitabis in eis. Et gloriabuntur in te omnes, qui diligunt nomen tuum: quoniam tu benedices iusto. Domine ut scuto bonae voluntatis tuae: coronasti nos.
Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine: et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Ant: Dirige Domine Deus meus in conspectu tuo viam meam.
Ant: Convertere Domine.
Psalmus 6: Domine ne in furore tuo arguas me: neque in ira tua corripias me. Miserere mei Domine, quoniam infirmus sum: sana me Domine, quoniam conturbata sunt ossa mea. Discedite a me omnes, qui operamini iniquitatem: quoniam exaudivit Dominus vocem fletus mei.
Exaudivit Dominus deprecationem meam: Dominus orationem meam suscepit.
Ant: Nequando.
Psalmus 7: Domine Deus meus in te speravi: salvum me fac ex omnibus persequentibus me, et libera me.
Iudica me Domine secundum iustitiam meam: et secundum innocentiam meam super me. Consumetur nequitia peccatorum, et diriges iustum: scrutans corda et renes Deus. Iustum adiutorium meum a Domino: qui salvos facit rectos corde.
A porta inferi.
Erue Domine animas eorum.
Lectio secunda (Iob 10): Taedet animam meam vitae meae, dimittam adversum me eloquium meum. Loquar in amaritudine animae meae: Dicam Deo, noli me condemnare. Indica mihi, cur me ita iudices.
Lectio tertia (Iob 10): Manus tuae Domine fecerunt me, et plasmaverunt me totum in circuitu: et sic repente praecipitas me? Memento, quaeso, quod sicut lutum feceris me, et in pulverem reduces me. Nonne sicut lac mulsisti me, et sicut caseum me coagulasti? Pelle, et carnibus vestisti me: ossibus, et nervis compegisti me. Vitam et misericordiam tribuisti mihi, et visitatio tuo custodivit spiritum meum.
Domine quando veneris iudicare terram, ubi me abscondam a vultu irae tuae? Quia peccavi nimis in vita mea.
Commissa mea pavesco, et ante te erubesco: dum veneris iudicare, noli me condemnare. Quia peccavi nimis in vita mea.
Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine: et lux perpetua luceat eis. Quia peccavi nimis in vita mea.
In secundo nocturno. Pro feria tertia, et sexta.
Ant: In loco pascuae.
Psalmus 22: Dominus regit me, et nihil mihi deerit: in loco pascuae ibi me collocavit. Super aquam refectionis educavit me: animam meam convertit. Deduxit me super semitas iustitiae: propter nomen suum. Parasti in conspectu meo mensam: adversus eos qui tribulant me.
Ant: In loco pascuae ibi me collocavit.
Ant: Delicta.
Confundantur omnes iniqua agentes: supervacue. Vias tuas Domine demonstra mihi: et semitas tuas edoce me. Dirige me in veritate tua, et doce me: quia tu es Deus salvator meus, et te sustinui tota die.
Diriget mansuetos in iudicio: docebit mites vias suas.
Ant: Credo videre.
Psalmus 26: Dominus illuminatio mea, et salus mea: quem timebo? Dominus protector vitae meae: a quo trepidabo? Dum appropiant super me nocentes: ut edant carnes meas. Unam petii a Domino, hanc requiram: ut inhabitem in domo Domini omnibus diebus vitae meae.
Quoniam abscondit me in tabernaculo suo: in die malorum protexit me in abscondito tabernaculi sui. In petra exaltavit me: et nunc exaltavit caput meum super inimicos meos. Tibi dixit cor meum, exquisivit te facies mea: faciem tuam Domine requiram. Ne avertas faciem tuam a me: et ne declines in ira a servo tuo. Adiutor meus esto, ne derelinquas me: neque dispicias me Deus salutaris meus. Quoniam pater meus et mater mea dereliquerunt me: Dominus autem assumpsit me.
Legem pone mihi Domine in via tua: et dirige me in semitam rectam, propter inimicos meos. Ne tradideris me in animas tribulantium me: quoniam insurrexerunt in me testes iniqui, et mentita est iniquitas sibi. Credo videre bona Domini: in terra viventium. Expecta Dominum, viriliter age: et confortetur cor tuum, et sustine Dominum.
Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine: et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Ant: Credo videre bona Domini in terra viventium.
Collocet eos Dominus cum principibus.
Cum principibus populi sui.
Secreto: Pater noster, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum: adveniat regnum tuum: fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra: panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie et dimitte nobis debita nostra, sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem.
Sed liber nos a malo, Amen.
Lectio quarta (Iob 13): Responde mihi, quantas habeo iniquitates et peccata: scelera mea atque delicta ostende mihi. Cur faciem tuam abscondis, et arbitraris me inimicum tuum? Scribis enim contra me amaritudines, et consumere me vis peccatis adolescentiae meae.
Memento mei Deus, quia ventus est vita mea: Nec aspiciat me visus hominis.
Nec aspiciat me visus hominis.
Cunctis diebus, quibus nunc milito, expecto donec veniat immutatio mea. Vocabis me, et ego respondebo tibi. Operi manuum tuarum porriges dexteram. Tu quidem gressus meos dinumerasti, sed parce peccatis meis.
Ne recorderis peccata mea Domine, Dum veneris iudicare saeculum per ignem.
Dirige Domine Deus meus in conspectu tuo viam meam: Dum veneris iudicare saeculum per ignem.
Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine: et lux perpetua luceat eis. Dum veneris iudicare saeculum per ignem.
In tertio nocturno. Pro feria quarta et Sabbatho.
Ant: Complaceat.
Tu autem Domine ne longe facias miserationes tuas a me: misericordia tua et veritas tua semper susceperunt me. Quoniam circumdederunt me mala, quorum non est numerus: comprehenderunt me iniquitates meae, et non potui ut viderem.
Multiplicatae sunt super capillos capitis mei: et cor meum dereliquit me. Complaceat tibi Domine ut eruas me: Domine ad adiuvandum me respice.
Ant: Complaceat tibi Domine, ut eruas me: Domine ad adiuvandum me respice.
Ant: Sana Domine.
Adversum me susurrabant omnes inimici mei: adversum me cogitabant mala mihi.
Etenim homo pacis meae, in quo speravi: qui edebat panes meos, magnificavit super me subplantationem. In hoc cognovi, quoniam voluisti me: quoniam non gaudebit inimicus meus super me. Me autem propter innocentiam suscepisti: et confirmasti me in conspectu tuo in aeternum. Benedictus Dominus Deus Israel a saeculo, et in saeculum: fiat, fiat.
Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine: et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Ant: Sana Domine animam meam, quia peccavi tibi.
Ant: Sitivit anima mea.
Quare tristis es anima mea: et quare conturbas me?
Abyssus abyssum invocat: in voce cataractarum tuarum. Omnia excelsa tua, et fluctus tui: super me transierunt. Apud me oratio Deo vitae meae: dicam Deo, susceptor meus es. Quare oblitus es mei, et quare contristatus incedo: dum affligit me inimicus? Dum confringuntur ossa mea: exprobraverunt mihi, qui tribulant me, inimici mei.
Libera me Domine, et pone me iuxta te: et cuiusvis manus pugnet contra me.
Peccantem me quotidie, et non me poenitentem, timor mortis conturbat me: Quia in inferno nulla est redemptio, miserere mei Deus, et salva me.
Deus in nomine tuo salvum me fac, et in virtute tua libera me. Quia in inferno nulla est redemptio, miserere mei Deus, et salva me.
Lectio octava (Iob 19): Pelli meae, consumptis carnibus, adhaesit os meum: et derelicta sunt tantummodo labia circa dentes meos. Miseremini mei, miseremini mei, saltem vos amici mei, quia manus Domini tetigit me. Quare persequimini me sicut Deus, et carnibus meis saturamini?
Domine secundum actum meum noli me iudicare: nihil dignum in conspectu tuo egi: ideo deprecor maiestatem tuam, Ut tu Deus deleas iniquitatem meam.
Amplius lava me Domine ab iniustitia mea: et a delicto meo munda me. Ut tu Deus deleas iniquitatem meam.
Lectio nona (Iob 10): Quare de vulva eduxisti me? Qui utinam consumptus essem, ne oculus me videret.
