From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised. The Lord is high above all nations, and His glory is above the heavens. Who is like the Lord our God, who dwells on high, and yet looks down on the lowly in heaven and on earth? He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap. Psalm 121: I rejoiced when they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the Lord.' Our feet were standing within your gates, O Jerusalem. Jerusalem, built as a city that is bound firmly together. For there the tribes went up, the tribes of the Lord, as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the Lord. Because there the thrones for judgment were set, the thrones of the house of David. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: may they prosper who love you. May peace be within your walls and security within your towers. For the sake of my brothers and companions, I will say, 'Peace be within you.' He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel. He has not done this for every nation; His judgments He has not made known to them. Antiphon: You are beautiful and sweet in your delights, holy Mother of God. Chapter (Ecclesiasticus 24): From the beginning, and before the ages, I was created, and until the future age I will not cease: and in the holy dwelling I ministered before Him. Thanks be to God. Hymn: Hail, Star of the Sea, Mother of God, Ever-Virgin, Happy Gate of Heaven. Taking that Hail, from the mouth of Gabriel, grant us peace, changing the name of Eve. Free the captives, bring light to the blind; remove our evil, and grant us all good. Show yourself to be a mother; may the prayers that come through you be accepted for us, who were born through you. O unique Virgin, gentle among all, free us from our sins, make us humble and pure. Grant us pure life, prepare a safe journey, so that seeing Jesus, we may always rejoice. To God the Father be praise, to the Supreme Christ glory, to the Holy Spirit honor, to the Three be one. Amen. Grace flows from your lips. Therefore, God has blessed you forever. Antiphon: Blessed Mother. During the Easter season, the previously mentioned antiphon is omitted, and the antiphon "Queen of Heaven" is said. The Canticle of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Luke 1:46) My soul magnifies the Lord. And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior. For He has regarded the humility of His handmaid; for behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name. And His mercy is from generation to generation for those who fear Him. He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted those of low degree. He has filled the hungry with good things, but the rich He has sent away empty. He has taken Israel to Himself, remembering His mercy. As He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his descendants forever. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: world without end. Amen. Antiphon: Blessed mother and intact virgin, glorious queen of the world, intercede for us before the Lord. During the Easter season, Antiphon: Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia: for you have earned to bear him, alleluia; he has risen as he said, alleluia: pray for us to God, alleluia. Lord, have mercy. Prayer: We ask you, Lord God, to grant us your servants the joy of perpetual health of mind and body; and through the glorious intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, may we be freed from present sadness and enjoy eternal happiness. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen. For the Saints. Antiphon: May all the saints of God intercede for our salvation and that of all. Rejoice in the Lord, and let the righteous exult. And let all the upright in heart rejoice. Prayer: Protect, Lord, your people, and keep them safe through the intercession of your apostles Peter and Paul, and all the other apostles. We ask you, Lord, that all your saints may assist us everywhere: that as we remember their merits, we may feel their protection; and grant us your peace in our times; and repel from your Church all wickedness.
