Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years draw near when you will say, 'I have no pleasure in them.'^✦ This should also be understood in this way. You who desire to have a glorious life and the rest of eternity, remember the one who created you, and do this in the good and holy works you perform during the days of your growing life, in which you are increasing and progressing in holiness, before that time comes when your blood and flesh will fail, and your bones will be laid bare, and before the ashes of your body return to the dust of the earth from which you were made, transformed into another life; and before the spirit that animates your body departs, that same body will return to the Lord of all, who gave it to you according to the disposition of His grace. For God is like a craftsman who shapes fire and surrounds it on all sides so that His work may be fully accomplished. When the spirit of a person is rightly directed in the course of good works, it will return to the unending eternity of joy, see the pure light, and hear the angelic song that Adam saw and heard before he faced the transgression of mortality; and thus, with the greatest desire, it will seek the garment that it lost, so that it may rejoice together with Him. These words are about the souls of the repentant, who are being purified and saved; they are faithful, and let the faithful pay attention to them, and let them be composed in the memory of good knowledge. I also saw spirits from the same multitude, and I heard them crying out like this: "With our art, we will inquire into everything, and we will obtain everything." And these people encourage each other to be inconsistent, and they present inconsistency everywhere.
