And you see another image, representing discord, and here the following desire, because when wicked people seek many things through desire that they cannot have, they fall into discord in the madness of their minds, and they infest others, just as a dog attacks a man while stealing, and preparing many disagreements, they scatter and dissipate in bitterness and in their own bitterness those things which were made by God, because they do not want peace, and because they greatly rejoice when they tear others apart in both words and deeds. Those who stand with their feet planted in the aforementioned darkness hang there, because such people, driven by this vice, are always ready to commit acts of betrayal and infidelity through arrogance and insult on their paths, never yielding or sparing anyone, but stirring up everything they can to create conflict, and not attending to the good of humanity, just as those did who prepared everything they had for the common good of others, as it is written:
