Chapter 12LiVM.2.12

XIIII. Responsum discretionis.

XIIII. Responsum discretionis.

And again, I heard a voice coming from that troubled cloud saying to this image: "O watcher of snares, through your traps you bite into all that is honest and rational, because you resemble the wild beasts that have no moderation, and you make yourself like an unclean animal." Everything that is part of God's institution responds to itself in turn. The stars shine with the light of the moon, and the moon shines with the fire of the sun, and all things are subject to their greater powers, nor do they exceed their proper limits. But you neither see God nor His creature; instead, you walk like an empty vessel, moved by the wind. But I, on the path of the moon and on the path of the sun, observe all of God's teachings, and I grow in honorable ways with them, counting them fully in love. For I am a prince in the palace of the King, and I scrutinize all His secrets; I leave nothing empty in these matters, but I comprehend them and love them, and with them I shine like the sun's rays. You are a torn and mangled corpse, and you are food for worms. However, the eighth image was likened to a tower, which had a dome at its top, in which there were three windows, under which two arms of a man appeared, whose hands were extended over the same dome. And those same arms were covered with darkness like sleeves, and their hands were bare, but they were fiery.
