In this fiery cloud, there is a living multitude, all united in one desire and one life; this is the burning and radiant army of blessed spirits, whose glory is ineffable and whose number is countless, so that no one knows their number except for the knowledge of God. All that God wills and they will, they are united in one body that cannot be divided; for although they have individual faces, they remain in one unity of purpose, like a body that, while having many members, is still one body; and thus they share one life in their unity.

Quod autem in hac ignea nube vivens ignea multitudo est, qui omnes in una voluptale et in una conjunctione vita una sunt, hoc est, quod in ardente gloria et honore vivens et ardens exercitus beatorum spirituum est; quorum gloria ineffabilis est, quorum etiam numerus innumerabilis est, ita quod numerum eorum nemo scit, nisi quod scientia Dei eos novit. £t omnia quae Deus vult et ipsi volunt, et sic in unum sibi conjuncti sunt, velut corpus quod non dividitur; nam quamvis singulas facies habeant, tamen in una conjunctione unanimitatis sunt, ut corpus, quod singula membra habens, unum tamen corpus est; et sic vita una in unanimitate sunt.
