II. Responsum amoris coelestis»
II. Responsum amoris coelestis»
And from that turbulent cloud, I heard a voice responding to this image: "You are in great folly, because you desire to have life in the ashes of dust, and you do not seek that life which will never fade in the beauty of youth, and which will never fail in old age." You also lack all light, and you are in dark gloom, and you are wrapped in the will of man like a worm. You too will live for a moment, and afterward, like grass, you will wither; thus, you will fall into the pit of destruction, and there you will end up in all your embraces, which you call flowers in your constitution. But I am the pillar of heavenly harmony, and I attend to all the joys of life. I don't reject life, but I trample on all that is harmful, just as I also scorn you yourself. I am the mirror of all virtues, in which every faithful person will clearly see themselves. But you run on the dark path, and your hands are weakened by toil.
