Christ's Passion and God's Faithfulness
The prayer begins by invoking Christ's suffering and recalls God's promise to limit temptation and sift his servants like Job.
Lord Jesus Christ, for the sake of your bloody sweat and the anguish you suffered at the hour of your holy death, I beg you: help your distressed and troubled servants. Strengthen and comfort them by your Holy Spirit, so that, conforming themselves completely to your will, they may bear every tribulation in peace.1 Indeed, Lord, you promised that you won't let your servants be tempted beyond their strength, but will lighten their burdens. And though you allow the devil to sift your servants and try them in the fire of tribulation, you still restrain him so that he doesn't trample your wheat or grind it to dust, but only sifts them, as he did Saint Job, and keeps them whole.2
Petition for the Holy Spirit and Doxology
The prayer petitions God to send the Holy Spirit to comfort the afflicted, turning their mourning to joy, and concludes with a doxology and amen.
Therefore, my God, give the Holy Spirit to your afflicted servants; wipe away their tears and comfort their sorrowful hearts, so that they don't fall into any sin because of outward tribulations and inward bitterness, but, with their mourning turned to joy by your goodness, may serve your holy majesty with endless thanksgiving. Who live and reign, etc.3 Amen.

Amen.
Notes
- 1 ↩Early modern Hungarian epeség (literally related to bile/gall) is rendered as spiritual anguish/agony at the hour of death, not physical bitterness of bile.
- 2 ↩háborúság here means tribulation/adversity, not military war; rendered as 'tribulation'.
- 3 ↩Source abbreviates the standard liturgical doxology with &c.; left abbreviated rather than expanded.
