The Gathering of the Church
The believer confesses that Christ gathers, protects, and sustains His chosen people throughout all time.
What do you believe about the "holy universal Christian Church"? I believe that the Son of God, through His Spirit and Word, has gathered a chosen community from all of humanity for eternal life in the unity of true faith, from the beginning of the world to the end; that He protects and sustains it; and that I am a living member of this community and will remain so forever.
The Communion of Saints
Believers are united with Christ and called to share their gifts for the benefit of the whole body.
What do you understand by the 'communion of saints'? First: All believers are united as members in communion with the Lord Christ and share in all His treasures and gifts. Second: Therefore, each person should willingly and joyfully use their gifts for the good and salvation of others.
The Forgiveness of Sins
God graciously grants the righteousness of Christ, removing the memory of sin and the threat of judgment.
What do you believe about the forgiveness of sins? For Christ's sake, God will no longer remember all my sins, including the sinful nature with which I have struggled throughout my life. Out of grace, He grants me the righteousness of Christ, so that I will no longer come into judgment.

Was glaubst du von der»heiligen allgemeinen christlichen Kirche«? Ich glaube, dass der Sohn Gottes aus dem ganzen Menschengeschlecht sich eine auserwählte Gemeinde zum ewigen Leben durch seinen Geist und Wort in Einigkeit des wahren Glaubens von Anbeginn der Welt bis ans Ende versammelt, schützt und erhält und dass auch ich ein lebendiges Glied dieser Gemeinde bin und ewig bleiben werde.
Was verstehst du unter der»Gemeinschaft der Heiligen«? Erstens: Alle Glaubenden haben als Glieder Gemeinschaft an dem Herrn Christus und an allen seinen Schätzen und Gaben. Zweitens: Darum soll auch jeder seine Gaben willig und mit Freuden zum Wohl und Heil der anderen gebrauchen.
Was glaubst du von der»Vergebung der Sünden«? Gott will um Christi willen aller meiner Sünden, auch der sündigen Art, mit der ich mein Leben lang zu kämpfen habe, nicht mehr gedenken. Aus Gnade schenkt er mir die Gerechtigkeit Christi, so dass ich nicht mehr ins Gericht kommen werde.
