Honoring the Servants of God
The faithful are called to show deep reverence, obedience, and love toward the clergy and monastics as intercessors before God.
Always turn to the hierarchical order: give them the honor they are due, and ask them for blessing and spiritual instruction; fall at their feet, and in everything obey them as before God. Toward the priestly order and the monastic order, keep great faith, love, and obedience, and every kind of submission before them, and take spiritual benefit from them. For they are the servants and intercessors of the Heavenly King: they have boldness before the Lord to ask for what is good and helpful for our souls, and for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.12

Ко святительскому чину всегда прибегаи, и должную честь им воздаваи и благословения и духовнаго поучения от него требуи от них, и припадаи к ногам их, и во всем повинуися им по Бозе священническому чину и мнишескому велию веру и любовь и повиновение, и всякое покорение пред ними имеи, и духовную ползу от них внимаи те убо суть слуги и молебники Небеснаго Царя имеют дерзновение у Господа, просити добрых и полезных душам нашим и оставление грехов и жизни вечьныя.
