The Institution of the Feast

Pope Urban IV instituted the feast of Corpus Christi in 1261, later confirmed by Pope Clement V at the Council of Vienne in 1310.

In the year of the Lord 1261, Pope Urban IV instituted the feast of the Body of Christ, which was afterwards confirmed at Vienne by Pope Clement V in a general council in the year 1310. (Ptol —25.)
