The Brothers' Vengeance upon Rinow
The Teutonic brothers of Königsberg, enraged by news of aggression, rally the Samlanders and destroy the territory of Rinow, killing its men and carrying off women, children, and possessions, restoring peace to Samland.
When word of this reached the brothers from Königsberg, they were angered by it — Chronicle of the Land of Prussia. Part Three. They gathered an army with other Samlanders, and entering the territory of Rinow they killed all the men, leading away the women and children along with all their possessions — and so the land of Samland rested in peace once again, just as before.

Quod cum ad aures fratrum de Kunigsbergk deveniret, indignati ex hoc, CRONIGA TERRE PRUSSIE. PARS III. congregaverunt cum aliis Sambitis exercitum, et intrantes dictum territorium Rinow omnes viros interfecerunt, mulieres et parvulos cum omni ipsorum substancia deducentes, sicque iterato quievit in pace terra Sambie sicut prius.
