De vastacione parcium superiorum terre Prussie.
The Apostate's Devastation of the Upper Land
Swantepolcus, son of the devil, rallies apostate neophytes and ravages Pomesania and Culm with fire and sword, destroying all but three forts and slaughtering five thousand Christians whose blood reddens the land of Prussia.
Not long afterward, the same Swantepolcus, son of the devil, once again gathered the neophyte apostates and, entering the upper regions — namely the land of Pomesania and Culm — with armed hand and hostile intent, laid waste with plunder and fire, capturing and utterly destroying all the forts and fortifications except three: Toruń, Kulm, and Redin. Of the people of God also — those dwelling in that land for his glory — they slaughtered five thousand, so that the whole land of Prussia seemed reddened with the blood of Christians.
