De bello Scalowitarum. is.
Anticipation of War Against the Scalowites
After overcoming the Nadrowites by God's grace, the brothers turn their forces toward the Scalowites, though some actions still overlap with the earlier campaign.
On the anticipation of war. After the Nadrowites had been overcome by God's grace, the brothers directed their battle lines against the Scalowites for the purpose of fighting, thinking they had done nothing, although something still remained to be done. And note that some of the deeds that follow took place within the war against the Nadrowites, because by ship an approach to the Scalowites could be had, which the Nadrowites, dwelling far from the Memel River, were not able to block.
