De secunda castri Barthenstein destructione.
The Sudowites Destroy Barthenstein
The Sudowites, enraged that the Bartians and other Prussians had submitted to the faith and the brothers, besieged and destroyed the fortress of Barthenstein, killing all they captured and reducing it to ashes.
When the Sudowites heard that the Bartians, Warmians, and other Prussians had once again submitted themselves to the faith and to the brothers, they were enraged. Gathering a great army, they furiously besieged the fortress of Barthenstein, which the Bartians had kept for their own use after the brothers' departure, and destroyed it, killing everyone they captured and reducing it all to ashes.12
