Praise and thanks be given now and always to Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory and Prince of life, for so graciously coming to the aid of this now-blessed person and receiving his soul into his holy hands.
Hope for Resurrection and Comfort for the Living
A petition for the future resurrection of the body, a holy life for the survivors, and the comfort of the Trinity.
May he reunite the soul with the body in heavenly glory on the last day, and grant us together, at the time God has appointed, a blessed following after, and meanwhile a Christian way of life; may he also refresh all troubled hearts with sweet comfort and keep us all in his eternal grace, for the sake of his unceasing goodness and mercy.1 Amen, O most holy and most glorious Trinity. Amen! Amen!

Jesu Christo, dem Herrn der Herrlichkeit und Fürsten des Lebens, sei jetzt und allezeit Lob und Dank gesagt, dass er diesem nunmehr seligen Menschen so gnädiglich hat ausgeholfen und seine Seele in seine heiligen Hände hat aufgenommen. Er wolle die Seele an dem jüngsten Tage mit dem Leibe in himmlischer Klarheit wieder vereinigen, und uns miteinander zu der von Gott bestimmten Zeit eine selige Nachfahrt und indessen einen christlichen Wandel verleihen, auch alle betrübten Herzen mit süßem Trost erquicken und uns alle in seiner ewigen Gnade erhalten, um seiner unaufhörlichen Güte und Barmherzigkeit willen. Amen, o du allerheiligste und herrlichste Dreieinigkeit. Amen! Amen!
