FRIDAY.
A Prayer for Unity and Truth
A petition for the preservation of unity and truth within the faith.
Great God, Almighty God, God of supreme goodness, whom it is right to believe and understand as inviolable and incorruptible; Triune Unity, whom the Catholic Church worships, I humbly pray, having experienced your mercy in myself, that you do not allow those with whom I have been in complete agreement since childhood in all matters to disagree with me in your worship; nor allow either me or them to stray from the truth and salvation that is in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Supplications for Mercy and Guidance
A call for God's presence and assistance in daily life.
O Lord, I will call upon you, and my prayer will come before you in the morning. Lord, do not reject my soul, nor hide your face from me, for the sake of Jesus Christ. Amen. Lord, help me to always have a deep respect and love for your holy Name; for you never fail to assist and guide those whom you raise up in your steadfast love. Grant this even for the sake of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Meditations on the Passion and the Church
Reflections on Christ's humility and the governance of the Church.
Almighty and everlasting God, who out of your tender love for humanity sent our Savior Jesus Christ to take on our flesh and suffer death on the cross, so that all people might follow the example of his great humility: Mercifully grant that I may both follow the example of his patience and be made a partaker of his resurrection through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Almighty God, I humbly ask you to graciously look upon your Family, for which our Lord Jesus Christ was willing to be betrayed and handed over into the hands of wicked men, and to suffer death on the cross, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen. Almighty and everlasting God, by whose Spirit the whole body of the Church is governed and sanctified; receive these my supplications and prayers which I offer up before you, for all estates of men in your holy Church, that every member of the same, in his vocation, may truly and devoutly serve you, through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Spiritual Warfare and Deliverance
A plea for divine strength against spiritual opposition and personal struggle.
It's been a long time, O Lord, since I have labored against heresies, and I am almost worn out. Come, Lord my Jesus, strongest warrior, Prince of the Lord's army, who defeated the devil and the world: take up your weapons and shield, and rise to help me. Amen. God, deal with me according to your Name, for your mercy is sweet. Deliver me, for I am helpless and poor, and my heart is wounded within me. Lord, save my soul. Amen. My eyes are always on you, Lord; please pull my feet out of the net. Amen.
Petitions for Grace and Forgiveness
A series of prayers seeking God's mercy and the sanctification of the believer.
Almighty God, who has promised to hear the petitions of those who ask in your Son's name, I humbly ask you to mercifully incline your ears to me now that I make my prayers and supplications to you in his name; and grant that those things which I have faithfully asked according to your will may be effectively obtained, for the relief of my necessity and to glorify you, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. O Lord, don't remember my past sins, but show me mercy soon, for I am in great distress. Help me, O God of my salvation; deliver me, and be merciful to my sins, for the sake of your name. Amen. Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your Name give the praise; and that for your loving mercy and for the sake of your truth. Amen. O you, the one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who revealed to us the united Deity and disclosed the indivisible glory of the one sacred Divinity, and demonstrated the perfect eternity of your Trinity; grant me, I beseech you, faith and obedience in this life, and glory in the life to come, through and because of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Amen. Lord God of hosts, how long will you be angry with your poor servant who prays? O turn me again, O God; show the light of your countenance, and I will be whole. Amen.
Intercession for the Church and the Soul
A cry for the Church's protection and the preservation of personal faith.
To you be the glory, Lord, to you be the glory! How deep is the abyss of your mercy? How great is the abundance of your patience? Look, those who have been made illustrious and renowned from the lowly and obscure by your name abuse their honor against you, who have granted them honor; they dare to commit offenses against your sacred mysteries. The righteous, as much as they can, push others aside so that those with lost morals, endowed with the highest degree of quietness and freedom, disturb everything. O Lord, rise up and help your Church, and don't allow my soul to descend into their counsel, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. O Lord, I cry out to you day and night; let my prayer come into your presence, and incline your ear to my call, for my soul is full of trouble, and my life is drawing near to the pit. Please don't let your anger weigh too heavily on me, or vex me with all your storms; but remember the mold from which you made me, for the sake of Jesus Christ. Amen. O Lord, don't let my struggle with words be useless, but let my profession of faith be steadfast. Keep my faith untainted. And, to the utmost of my spirit, grant me this voice of my conscience: that I may always hold fast to what I professed in the symbol of my baptism, being baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. May I have you as my Father; may I worship your Son together with you, and may I be worthy to receive your Holy Spirit, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Evening Commendation and Final Rest
A concluding set of prayers for peace, protection, and final perseverance.
O Lord, be merciful to me, and I will sing praises to Your Name; yes, I will tell of Your loving kindness early in the morning, and of Your truth during the night. O bless me, and fulfill all Your works of grace in me, even for the sake of Jesus Christ. Amen. Lord, grant me a watchful mind, a sober thought, a pure heart, and peaceful sleep, free from all diabolical imagination. Then awaken me, Lord, at the hour of prayer, so that I may firmly hold to your commandments and keep your judgments in mind. Amen. Lord, remember your promise to your servant, in which you have caused me to put my trust. May your statutes be my songs in the house of my pilgrimage; and may I remember your Name in the night season. Amen. Into your hands, Lord, I commend my soul and body, for you created and redeemed them, Lord God of truth. I also commend to you everything I have, for you have graciously given me all these things according to your good pleasure. In peace, therefore, let me lie down and sleep, O Lord, for you alone make me dwell securely, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. O Lord and Creator of all, O God, Father and Governor of Your people, O arbiter of life and death, O Guardian and Benefactor of souls; O You who do all things and do them timely, as You know how to transform by the artful word of Your wisdom and administration! Receive me at the right time, moderating my life in the flesh for as long as it may be beneficial for me and the Church. And please receive me, prepared and untroubled by fear, not turning my back at the last day, nor with a troubled spirit like one abstracted or torn from the world, but that I may promptly and eagerly advance to that blessed and eternal life which is in Christ Jesus our Lord, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. O Lord my God, call me so that I may come to You; strengthen me so that I don't turn away from You, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

DEus magne, Deus omnipotens, Deus summae bonitatis, quem inviolabilem & incorruptibilem credi & intelligi fas est; Trina Unitas, quam Catholica Ecclesia colit, supplex oro, expertus in meipso misericordiam tuam, ne homines, cum quibus mihi a pueritia in omni victu fuit summa consensio, in tuo cultu a me dissentire permittas: nec vel me vel illos a veritate & salute, quae est in Christo Jesu. Amen.
O Lord, I will call upon thee, and early shall my prayer come before thee. Lord, do not abhorre my soul, neither hide thy face from me, for Iesus Christ his sake. Amen.
Lord, make me to have a perpetual fear and love of thy holy Name; for thou never failest to help and govern them whom thou dost bring up in thy stedfast love. Grant this even for Iesus Christ his sake. Amen.
Almighty and everlasting God, which of thy tender love towards man, hast sent our Saviour Iesus Christ, to take upon him our flesh, and to suffer death upon the cross, that all mankind should follow the example of his great humility: Mercifully grant that I may both follow the example of his patience, and be made partaker of his resurrection, through the same Iesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Almighty God, I humbly beseech thee graciously to behold thy Family, for the which our Lord Iesus Christ was content to be betrayed, and given up into the hands of wicked men, and to suffer death upon the cross, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God world without end. Amen.
Almighty and everlasting God, by whose Spirit the whole body of the Church is governed and sanctified; Receive these my supplications and prayers which I offer up before thee, for all estates of men in thy holy Church, that every member of the same, in his vocation, may truly and devoutly serve thee, through our Lord Iesus Christ. Amen.
Amen.
Deal with me, O God, according to thy Name; for sweet is thy mercy. O deliver me, for I am helpless and poor, and my heart is wounded within me. Lord save my soul. Amen.
Mine eyes are ever looking unto thee, O Lord; O pluck my feet out of the net. Amen.
Almighty God, who hast promised to hear the Petitions of them that ask in thy Son's Name, I beseech thee mercifully to incline thine ears to me, now that in his Name I make my prayers and supplications unto thee; and grant that those things which I have faithfully asked according to thy will, may effectually be obtained, to the relief of my necessity, and to the setting forth of thy glory, through Iesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
O Remember not my old sins, but have mercy upon me, & that soon, for I am come to great misery. Help me, O God of my salvation; O deliver me, and be merciful unto my sins, for thy Names sake. Amen.
Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy Name give the praise; and that for thy loving mercy and for thy truths sake. Amen.
O tu unus Deus Pater, & Fili, & Sancte Spiritus, qui unitam Deitatem nobis declarasti, & sacrosanctae solius Divinitatis indivisam gloriam revelasti, et perfectam Trinitatis tuae sempiternitatem demonstrasti; Da mihi obsecro fidem et obedientiam in hac vita, & gloriam in futura, per & propter Redemptorem nostrum Jesum Christum. Amen.
O Lord God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry with thy poor servant that prayeth? O turn me again, O God; shew the light of thy countenance, and I shall be whole. Amen.
Tibi gloria, tibi gloria, Domine! Quanta apud te clementiae abyssus? quanta patientiae copia? Amen.
O Lord, I will cry day and night before thee, let my prayer enter into thy presence, encline thine ear unto my calling; for my soul is full of trouble, and my life draws nigh unto the pit. O let not thine indignation lie too hard upon me, neither vex me with all thy storms: But remember of what mould thou hast made me, even for Iesus Christ his sake. Amen.
O Domine, ne sit mihi inutilis pugna verborum, sed incunctan…is fidei constans professio. Conserva, oro, in me fidei incontaminatam religionem. Amen.
O Lord, be merciful unto me, and I will sing praises unto thy Name; yea, I will tell of thy loving kindness early in the morning, and of thy truth in the night-season. O bless me, and fulfill all thy works of grace in me, even for Iesus Christ his sake. Amen.
Dona mihi, Domine, mentem vigilem, cogitationem sobriam, cor castum, somnum placidum, & ab omni diabolica imaginatione liberum. Et deinde excita me, Domine, hora Orationis, ut praeceptis tuis firmiter adhaeream, & memoriam retineam in violatam judiciorum tuorum. Amen.
LOrd, remember thy promise unto thy servant, wherein thou hast caused me to put my trust. That thy statutes may be my songs in the house of my pilgrimage; and that I may remember thy Name in the night season. Amen.
In pace ergo me simul cubare & dormire facias, ô Domine, qui solus me habitare facis secure, per Jesum Christum Dominum nostrum. Amen.
Amen.
O Domine Deus meus, voca me, ut accedam ad te: firma me, ne recedam a te, per Jesum Christum Dominum nostrum. Amen.
