WEDNESDAY.
Morning Confession and Supplication
The day begins with a humble acknowledgment of sin and a plea for divine guidance and mercy.
O Lord, I have sinned and acted wickedly; indeed, I have offended in all your commandments. Let your wrath turn away from me, for I am weak; hear my prayers and deliver me for your own sake and for the merits of my Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. Gracious Father, without you I can do nothing but sin; nor can I confess it to have pardon except through you. I was conceived and born in sin; and though you washed me clean in the waters of Baptism, I have since defiled myself again, and through many grievous actual sins, I have made myself a sinner above all others, considering the great measure of grace that you have given me. Lord, increase your grace, and by it weaken my resistance first, and then cut it off, so that I may see, confess, hate, and forsake all my sins, and find mercy and salvation through the merits of my blessed Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. O Lord, early this morning I cry out to you; for in your word is my trust. Hear me, Lord, for the sake of Jesus Christ. Amen. O Lord, let me hear your loving kindness early in the morning, for in you is my trust. O show me the way I should walk today and all the days of my life; for I lift up my soul to you in the mercies of Jesus Christ. Amen. Deliver me, O Lord, from all my offenses, and don't let me be a reproach to the foolish. For man walks in a vain shadow and disturbs himself in vain. But Lord, what is my hope? Truly, my hope is in you; and there let it continue to be acceptable in Jesus Christ our Lord and only Savior. Amen.
Seeking Mercy and Divine Protection
A series of petitions for protection against spiritual enemies and a request for God's merciful judgment.
O Lord, look upon me with mercy; and with even greater mercy, because of the calling and position I hold, I must give a stricter account to you. Look upon me, O Lord, but not until you have nailed my sins to the Cross of Christ; not until you have bathed me in the Blood of Christ; not until I have hidden myself in the Wounds of Christ, so that the punishment that should otherwise overtake me may pass over me. Then look and say to my soul, 'I have forgiven you.' By the work of your mercy in my soul, make me feel it, through Jesus Christ our only Lord and Savior. Amen. O Lord, who tends to great flocks and increases the small ones by your abundant grace, grant me comfort and care for my flock with me: through Jesus Christ, our supreme Shepherd and Savior. Amen. O Lord, defend my cause against those who oppose me, and fight against those who fight against me. Bring out the spear and block the way against those who pursue me. Say to my soul, 'I am your salvation.' So be it. Amen. Listen, Lord, to my prayer, and consider the voice of my humble desires. In my time of trouble, I'll call upon you, because you hear me. Amen. Deliver my soul, O God, from lying lips and from a deceitful tongue. Amen.
Walking in Grace and Truth
A prayer for the grace to remain steadfast in God's ways and to be fruitful in good works.
Keep me, O Lord, your poor, humble servant, in your constant mercy. And because human frailty cannot help but fall without you, preserve me always with your help, and lead me toward everything that is profitable for my salvation, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. O Lord, grant me the grace to seek you while you can be found, and to call upon you while you are near. Help me to detest and forsake the wickedness of my ways and the unrighteousness of my own thoughts, so that I may return to you, and may you have mercy on me through Jesus Christ, my only Savior and Redeemer. Amen. Teach me your ways, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth. Bind my heart to you, that I may fear your Name. Amen. Lord, I ask that your grace may always go before me and follow me, and help me to be devoted to all good works through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Evening Sacrifice and Contrition
As the day concludes, the focus turns to evening sacrifice, inward cleansing, and the renewal of the heart.
Have mercy on me, O God, according to your great goodness, and in keeping with the abundance of your mercies, wipe away my offenses. Wash me thoroughly from my wickedness and cleanse me from my sin, for I acknowledge my faults, and my sin is always before me. But don't let this evening take from me the light of the Sun of Righteousness, Jesus Christ my Savior. Amen. O Lord, please hear my prayers with your favor. By your power, drive away the evil from my actions and thoughts. Increase my faith, guide my mind, grant me spiritual thoughts, and lead me to your blessedness through Jesus Christ your Son and our Savior. Amen. Lord, I ask that you give me the grace to avoid the Devil's temptations and to follow you—the only true God—with a pure heart and mind, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Lord, I offer you my evening sacrifice; your sacrifice is a troubled spirit, a broken and contrite heart, which you will not despise, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Lord, I humbly pray that You look upon me and cleanse my mind and thoughts from impure desires, from all defilement of body and spirit, and from every diabolical influence, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. O Lord, kindly show me your ineffable mercy, and at the same time free me from the sins I have committed, and rescue me from the punishments I deserve, through Christ our Lord. Amen. O God, since I can't please you without you, grant that your mercy may guide and direct my heart in all things, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Resting in the Lord
Final prayers for protection during sleep and a dedication of the body and soul to God's service.
O Lord, grant me the grace to remember you while I’m in bed and to think of you when I wake up. You have been my helper; therefore, under the shadow of your wings, I will hope to pass through the darkness of this night, finding comfort in Jesus Christ, my Lord and only Savior. Amen. Lord, help me stay alert during the night watches, so I can focus on your words. Amen. O Lord, you who made the night for people to rest in, as well as the day for work; grant, dear Father, that I may take my bodily rest in such a way that my soul may continually watch for my deliverance from this mortal life. And may my sleep not be excessive, driven by the insatiable desires of the flesh, but just enough to refresh and sustain my nature; to live and serve you in all sober and godly conversation, through the help and support of Jesus Christ, my only Lord and Savior. Amen.

O Lord, I have sinned, and dealt wickedly; nay, offended in all thine Ordinances. Let thy wrath turn from me, for I am weak; and hear my prayers, and deliver me for thine own sake, and the merits of my Saviour Iesus Christ. Amen.

I was conceived and born in sin: And though thou didst wash me from that in the laver of Baptisme, yet I have since defiled my self again, and by many grievous actual sins, have made my self a sinner above all other men, considering the great measure of grace that thou hast given me. Lord, increase thy grace, and by it weaken first, and then cut off my resistance, that I may see, and confess, and hate, and forsake all my sins, and find mercy and salvation in the merits of my blessed Saviour Iesus Christ. Amen.
O Lord, early this morning do I cry unto thee; for in thy word is my trust. Hear me, O Lord, for Iesus Christ his sake. Amen.
