The soul is called to reflect on its daily blessings, sins, and the need for repentance and amendment.
O my soul! Have you thanked God for the blessings you've received? Have you asked God for grace to understand and remove your sins? Have you examined your conscience today regarding the sins you've committed in thought, word, and deed, during every hour since you woke up? Have you sought forgiveness for your sins today? Have you resolved, with God's grace, to make amends?
Doxology of the Trinity
The examination concludes with a prayer of praise to the Holy Trinity.
Blessed be the holy and indivisible Trinity, now and forever, and through all ages. Amen.
