Procurer prières; congié et closture
A Father's Final Requests
The King asks for his daughter's prayers for his soul and mandates the private handling of his instructions.
Dear daughter, gladly seek the prayers of good people, and include me in them; and if it should please God that I leave this world before you, I ask you to arrange for masses, prayers, and other good works for my soul.1 I command you that no one is to see this writing without my permission, except for your brother.
A Blessing of Grace
The chapter concludes with a heartfelt prayer for the daughter's spiritual growth and goodness.
May Our Lord make you as good in all things as I desire, and far more than I know how to desire. Amen.

Notes
- 1 ↩OF macompaigniez a vos is read as m'acompaigniez à vous: join/include me with you in those prayers (not merely associate with the good people themselves).
